Having pretty much every game at Wembley is a big help, but your GK and CBs are weak links IMO.

Problem is if England win the group then the next game will be against the runners up of France / Germany / Portugal. That'll be a real test.

I imagine the performance Sterling put in today would be a similar one against a big team like Spain, France or Germany. The guy is bang out of form and should feel lucky to start any game.

As someone on the radio pointed out other day, if you win your group (which i suspect you will) you are in line to face a team from the portugal germany france group.

With that in mind id say you will be doing well to get beyond the last 16.

We should be looking to win the competition. Wouldn't accept anything less with the possible exception of losing to France or the team that wins the thing before we make it to Wembley, and we gave it everything we had in that game and were just unlucky.

Pickford did well in the last tournament. It was the best keeper performance in a tournament since Seaman, if we're honest.

Absolutely. Best group of attacking players , and should be minimum semi finalists. I just hope we aren’t let down by gamesmanship and diving. Favourites for me.

Central midfield and centre defence look the most flimsy areas. Poor manager too ,as you mentioned.

England's mf? Grealish...Henderson...Mount seem ok to me

tbf about Germany.

many of there past teams have not been particularly grate but they still win ir come very close too winning tornaments

That’s the point, we saw it tonight with chillwell, it’s a scuuuuumy way to win, and the entire team is full of them. Sure it’s endemic in footy, but the England team is particularly bad.,I’d rather see us do it with that at minimal levels, but with this group... unlikely.,

England have a championship level type of manager, living off a tournament where the only decent teams we faced, Belgium and Croatia both beat us.

Euros are not like the world cup

The teams are all quite similar and you cant bully or dive your way through.

The real quality has to rise to the top. I would suggest that southgate starts practicing penalties day 1.

England need to beat scotland to progress.
