Big Ange pot o glue or whatever his name is.
Time will tell....
It could work, obviously ... but I’ll take a lot of convincing TBH. Only positives I’ve come up with so far are he’s not Lenny ... or Keano. Ultimately he’d be a massive gamble, given he has no history in the northern hemisphere. Happy to be proved wrong, but nearly 100 days on from very belatedly binning Lenny I think we’re all entitled to question both this proposed appointment and the credibility of those running our club.
Howe had an element of risk about him for sure.
But this guy takes it to a whole new level.
Seriously....who the fook is this guy as Arsenal fans said about Arsenal Wenger and Rangers fans said about Pedro.
In summary it could go either way.
I don't want to judge him. His record where he manages is solid enough albeit less than I would expect of a celtic managerial appointment.
I'll hope he's junk though.
I'll add that Eddie Howe probably wasn't worth the effort that seems to have went in to pleasing him and his staff choices. In time it may well prove he was too safe to deliver and it looks like he himself has felt the pressure before he even got the gig. Quite possibly the best thing to get away from him before he breaks down in the chair.

Agree up to a point, but Arsene was 46/47 when he got the Arsenal gig, and obviously was well accustomed to European football. This guy is 55 and has never been near a decent club ... and I think I could have qualified Australia for a WC given the pash countries they had to beat to get there. 🤣
Time will tell, but we need to get the finger out anyway after wasting over 3 months waiting for Eddie the wuss, who was clearly too scared to head north without his posse of pals.
Do I want him? Not particularly
Did I want Howe? Absolutely
Will I renew my season tickets? Absolutely

rodgers could make demands
howe would be able to make demands
this guy falls into the category of "happy to get the job" and will work within the boundaries set by the celtic board.
which is dangerous.
Would we have turned our nose up at Jesse Marsch a few years ago - probably?
The difficulty folk on here had coming up with any appropriate names other than Howe underlines just how difficult it is. We aint splashing the cash for a 'sure thing'. Might as well try a left field if the contract is right.

Perhaps I'm being a little naive, but I tend to think celtic squad is still pretty good and a handful of ins and outs with a competent manager and the gap can swing. I think the majority of celtics key players for next season are probably already there.

Aye, very naive! No decent keeper, 1 decent defender of any type (Jullien) once Ajer leaves, Broony away, no decent strikers once Eddy leaves, and we still need the winger we needed 12 months ago ... aye, not much business to be done. 🤣

So....here we go, two in a row?
This is where my Australia experience comes in.
If he gets the job, it's a complete shock to everyone obviously.
But he is a hard task master, is an experienced manager and like most Aussie sports managers, takes no nonsense. He has delivered success wherever he has been. But... Also took time and had failure, and was not high pressure environments.
Ange especially will be interesting to see dealing with the Glasgow media!
Rogic has played under him, so he will get the Celtic squad up to speed with what Ange is all about.
So, on the surface from that point of view, not too bad an appointment.
On the negative side -
1/ is a complete unknown to Celtic fans.
2/ Hewill be seen as an underwelming appointment
I3/don't believe he will know the European scouting system and players available compared to Howe for instance. But he can get an assistant that does, IE Kennedy lol.
Hoe won't know what heis getting into with living in Glasgow and managing Celtic. The expectations are huge! Off the scale from what he is used to.
