And would he get trophies? Is he better than Pep or Klopp? I don't think he is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbf he won the league title in England during a season where both Pep and Klopp were managing in the PL. with our resources and the talented players he’d have at the club it’s not unlikely. He could be the Tuchel we need after Ole.
Apologies for poor grammar there. Christopher Walken impression alert.
Wasn't that the rationale for appointing Jose
--------------------------------------------
It was but Conte's a better manager now than Mourinho was when we appointed him and capable of getting more out of his players I think.
Jose like LVG were hired past their best, had we got either at the peak of their powers then I’d imagine they’d both be far more likely to win the league. Conte is currently still a top manager (domestically anyway).

Well, he’s won trophies everywhere he’s been, at times against the odds.
Trouble is, he alienates squad players and wouldn’t buy into the Utd ethos.
I like Conte, he’s entertaining, he’s a winner and he motivates his players. I just don’t think he is right for us.
If we did get him hopefully he could bring back Lukaku, Sanchez, Young and Darmian with him.

United fans:
“We finally manage to get rid of Mourinho when he doesn’t get his way and chucks his inevitable wobbly, then we end up with Solksjaer and have to watch turgid, graft-over-style, defence-first football.”
Also United fans:
“We should hire Conte instead!”

These aren’t really the same people, to be fair.
Conte will have found a new job by the time Ole is sacked.
He’ll not find it easy to get a job unless he lowers his demands. He wants the biggest clubs, but a lot of them won’t go for him.
I like that about Conte tbh. Owners wants managers to toe their line financially, yet are prepared to sack them without a second thought if the team doesn't meet expectations. It's nice to see a manager turn the tables on that philosophy and reject owners that care so much about penny pinching without having the patience to stick with them if things go wrong.
