i'm not getting too carried away. in past years i've worried who we've been linked to but now i get the feeling that bielsa can turn anyone into a better player.
i feel if we went into the new season with the same team we would improve our standing.

The way things are going we're ahead off where AR thought we'd be, so, him being him I'm sure he'll be looking higher!..

The only thing that could stop a brilliant signing spree if we're going to have one is the fight with RB!..

We're capable of getting into Europe and beating League 1 teams in the FA cup if we add some quality and depth to what we already have. Keep Forshaw and L1 standard kids if we just want to stay in the division and get knocked out in the opening rounds of both cups. We finished way higher than projected thus our budget should be higher than what we had planned for. Its 1.8 million per position gained, thats a good chunk from 17th to 9th

I read on these boards it was 3million, so, looks like we're not getting as much as I thought!.

I don't think there will be as much as last summer, but still 50-60 to play with, which is enough to get three good additions.

Between £37 and £47 million after JH signs on a permanent.

Some players will have renegotiated better rates (e.g. Roberts), does that come out of the pot.

We don't know that the club has more money than expected. because although we know that we over achieved financially from league position & tv appearances. We don't know how many games were budgeted for crowds. That could have had a negative impact too.

The big grey area which no one can seem to understand is why our wage expense in the company's accounts are always so much larger than any reasonable understanding of what the players are earning.

We also know that very little of last years transfers have been paid for or at least were paid for initially. This means that cash flow should be pretty good. And is a great tactic to use when surviving in the premiership guarantees huge amounts of revenue for the next season. It will however catch up with us a year or so down the line and that's when player sales may be required to provide a budget for purchases.

I would be delighted if we spent something like;

£11m Harrison
£30m Midfielder (Matheus Cunha)
£12m Left Back
£7m Midfielder (Harrison Reed)

Would give us everything we need for around £60m.

Just massive guess work. No one knew or dreamed what we spent last season.

Whoever we sign, we can be sure that Bielsa will know them inside-out before we do the deal.

If they are what he wants then all is good.

I think its Eljif Elmas. For context he has been a bit-player for Napoli this season. A lot of games played, but not so many minutes as you'd expect. Plays 10. Not sure how much he would cost, but imagine it would be an expensive-ish signing.

Wiki has his name as Elif, he is of Turkish descent, I am not saying his first name isn't Eljif but it makes a lot more sense for him to be called Elif, that is a Turkish name but Eljif isn't, some Turkish names are used for both genders (though my wife has never heard of a man being called Elif), additionally, whilst "J" is used in Turkish, it is mostly for words borrowed from other languages, Jambon - Ham, Jilet - Razor, Japon - Japan. My wife's name translates as Dark Warrior, you don't mess with her.

It was very interesting listening to the phil hay show a couple of weeks ago.

Basically they have said they have such a great scout network now that they would consider it a failure on their part if someone they didn't know about had a great world Cup.

It’s hard not to go Champ Man sometimes and start pulling the side apart for potentially better players

It’s clear we need a few, but not much. Ayling tired after an excellent season but Dramah looks to be his long termer. You have Greenwood and Gelhart in attack too, so in some aspects, the club may be improved squad wise from within next season

On top of that you have the 27m man Rodrigo who after settling and injuries looked great towards the end of the season. You also saw improvement in the likes of Roberts. Then there is Llorente/Koch who will hopefully be free of injury

I’d be happy with Harrison, a left back and a winger. However the ultimate has to be a number 10 which we were crying out for last season.

We potentially need a quality midfielder but in Dallas/Klich I think Bielsa will stay as we are
