Really looking forward to it. Hopefully they can remind the media what they used to be there for, holding a spotlight to current events and the people in power rather than activism for whichever politcal party they have a hard on for.

OH BOO HOO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you not think news and current affairs should be reported impartially?
I've no problem with an editorial view/slant on a topic but given GB News is backed by conservatives, it's content is unlikely to be impartial.
If you're into echo chambers, GB News looks like it will be right (pardon the pun) up your street.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Impartiality?
It hasn’t even been launched or aired and yet you seem to have totally made up your mind about it and predicted what it’s all about without 1 shred of evidence
You go in about Impartiality? Oh the irony
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think GB News' conservative funders will lobby to ensure it is impartial as per Ofcom rules?
It will broadcast daily segments such as "Wokewatch" and according to Neill the template they're going to follow is based on Fox news.
From what I can gather GB News isn't primarily going to be a news broadcaster (in the traditional sense) but provide opinion and debate on the day's news.

In theory Ofcom regulates television, radio and video-on-demand sectors, fixed-line telecoms, mobiles and postal services, plus the airwaves over which wireless devices operate
But in practice it’s just a independent smokescreen
It’s just another example of Big Brother in practice, dictating what IT wants us to to see or not to see

Beyond The Daily Star, The Times, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Sun, The Sunday Times, The FT, The Spectator, Economist, LBC, Guido Fawkes, Westmonster, Sun on Sunday, Sky, Mail on Sunday and Fox News, where else is you average brexiteer gammon halfwit meant to access their news and current affairs?

And in the middle of that is Discovery Inc, a company that has always had a very non "right leaning" philosophy. Unfortunately. there success with heavily investing in TVN in Poland has meant they've been looking for a news channels to invest in around Europe for a while....sadly this is what has happened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed I’m not sure what discovery are playing it to be honest, given some of their content this kind of is the opposite of what you’d think they’d be about.

^^^ mumbo-jumbo ^^^
I've read this several times and bit makes no sense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The same could be said about the mumbo-jumbo you’ve just typed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from one typo it's perfectly clear, however, I appreciate you have comprehension issues and for that you have my pity.
Is your frustration at being unable to communicate coherantly the reason you're permanently angry?

Tell me about Ofcom's agenda?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In theory Ofcom regulates television, radio and video-on-demand sectors, fixed-line telecoms, mobiles and postal services, plus the airwaves over which wireless devices operate
But in practice it’s just a independent smokescreen

Really looking forward to it. Hopefully they can remind the media what they used to be there for, holding a spotlight to current events and the people in power rather than activism for whichever politcal party they have a hard on for.

Not at all. It's funder's think tank CEO is a Conservative peer, and management team is largely comprised of Conservative supporters, I'm sure they will be completely impartial.

OH BOO HOO

But his point renders your original post a complete load of utter bollox
So boohoo to you. Must be a right idiot if you think GB news will be more impartial than the likes of the BBC

About time there was a more balanced right leaning media.
