Ukraine could be a dark horse
They have been outclassed tonight but I wouldn’t write them off just yet. Don’t be surprised if they look very decadent different next time out.
Can’t decide if this is a good or bad result for Wales. Expect them to get beaten by Italy, but turkey will have to respond against Wales, but at the same time look knackared so will be intriguing

You’re right, but I think every point Turkey or Switzerland drop is good for Wales personally.

I fear a response. Could play into your hands, might be the opposite though. Tomorrow is so important for you guys.
Where have you heard that??! They are horrendously bad and most football fans could have told you that before tonight
Yilmaz looked a handful and they've got some good players, just got outclassed by a good Italy side

That's what I fear too. If they go gung ho though it could be good for us. Yes, tomorrow is massive. I'd like to think a win would probably be enough to get through.
Manager looked at the fixtures and set out for a draw in this one. They were outclassed and lost. They'll be the more attacking game in their next two games but could well be picked off. Never understood them being talked about as a dark horse. They were never going to win the tournament. But in terms of getting as far as the quarters, I still wouldn't rule that out
Ukraine aren't a great team either. They'll probably qualify from the group of life. But there isn't much quality amongst the lesser lights, and Turkey are probably still the best of that bunch
Didn't watch the game but reading between the lines it seems like the coach tried to be clever and worried too much about Italy and forgetting Turkeys own game. Turkey have been good of late and not been particularly negative.

I suspect they’ll give Wales a good game.,what happens today could prove pivotal for the welsh.
Turkey were terrible. Don't know why they were considered as dark horses by some.
Thought that they were unambitious, tentative, and a bit cowed by the opposition.
In short, Turkey were a bit, um, chicken?
Italy didn’t look much better. Turkey were just a bad side having a bad day.
Italy controlled the game well, but their back line can certainly be got at. Had turkey had a little more pace and decisiveness up front they could have made a few good chances themselves.
After the first went in, the writing was on the wall, but it was a tight game up until then.

“Dark horses” doesn’t necessarily mean “potential winners who’ve gone under the radar”. I suppose it can extend to “team that not much is known about who might bloody a few noises and get pretty far”.
Different Turkish side, obviously, but they were brushed aside by Portugal in their 2008 opener, only sprung into life in the third group game and made the semis.
Well - looking at Wales today I think they will struggle against Turkey. Defending well but the gap between defence and attack is huge. They just can’t get Bale or James on the ball at all.
