A Message From Daniel Levy

Yet more Levy propaganda, he said nothing that we did not already know. The future looks grim as far as challenging for silverware is concerned, Levy has basically said it will be more of the same, and we will have to get lucky like we did with Poch if we are to challenge.

Exactly Billy. A load of waffle with Levy making more excuses for his failings. Basically thinks we can get success spending lemonade money. He is clueless.

I was always under the impression that we should of enjoyed it while it lasted under Pochettino. Bat country now.

So his interview in shortm

1 No money
2 We never spoke to Conte.
3 Kane is disappointed as we all are.
4 I like to do things in private.

This is why we should have taken cups more seriously in that Poch era.

Sad to say but all this has knock on effects. Top 4 goals is not winning mentality. And now it's filtered into the veins of all the deadwood.

Jose was meant to be quick fix but was the wrong coach at the wrong time. An Amazon experiment.

Need to clean out all the deadwood and fast. New ideas, hungry players and energy of youth is needed if we are to stay top 6 let alone top 4.

Feels like we are currently a top 8 club who will become a mid table club again before long.

The only slightly encouraging thing he said was the plan is to spend the revenue on concerts and boxing events on the team, if we swallow that?

This and this is where I see us heading but some of us could predict that years ago. You can’t sustain what we had with the way we conduct ourselves in the market. We got lucky with the Pochettino era and we never fully built on it. Will take us years to get back where we were, unless we have a significant spending summer which we all know isn’t happening under Levy and ENIC. Levy has to realise the successful do it by spending money on quality, it’s as simple as that.

posted on 12/6/21

We also did well under Redknapp and didn’t build on it.

I don`t believe a word Levy says, he has been pulling the wool over many fans eyes for years, and they continue to swallow it. Not me, there will be money there, Levy just does not want to spend it.

What money? We spent over 100m on NDombele and loCelso, backed Mourinho and funded a new stadium which had had no income since being built (almost)
The stadium should have been the platform, but no one could have seen the pandemic coming.

I don't know how paying to use Wembley vs pocketing ticket sales affected our sales, but the 2 can't have been much difference from if we'd have stayed at WHL.

Timing was unlucky, but not sure where we're supposed to fund a mass buying of star quality you're asking for now from.

I am not overly worried, next season is a whole new ball game. Spurs could just as easily suprise us all next season. Nobody really knows how things will pan out. 20 odd points dropped from winning positions last season, even halving that would have seen Spurs comfortably in the top four, despite having a so called shocking season.

I am still optimistic for next season. Spurs will definitely not be finishing mid table.

If we lose Harry Kane, we 100% will mate. Where are our goals coming from Sandy ?

Kane is going and Bale gone too. Mid table it is.

Someone we sign with the money to put the ball in the net presumably.
If it in Fonseca, we'll set up differently, and he got a Roma side scoring pretty well throughout the season.

It's not even pre season yet, let's at least wait for a poor transfer window before its all doom and gloom, been enough of that in here this past fortnight.

If Kane is sold we may as well all give up, it sends out all the wrong messages to the fans and the other players, replacing his 50 odd goal involvements will probably be an impossible task.

posted on 12/6/21

The last bit where he says "we have unfinished business" What does HE mean by that? And what is he going to do about it? I wish the interview went on abit longer so he could have expanded abit more about it.

Again he did not mention anything about winning trophies. There is no ambition from him verbally.

There's a lot to unpack in there for a short video. I expect Gold to get half a dozen articles out of it.

Takeaways for me would be
- stop asking us to put money into the club we're not coughing up
- I facked up but it's not that I don't care. It's on Paratici now
- Pochettino refused decent transfers, that wasn't me

He clearly pays attention to the fans' perception of him and takes it to heart. That said, he's made millions off the club so he can lump it.

You may be "optimistic" but you will be eating your words by mid season.
As for Spurs "not finishing mid table".........well now.....what on earth could that mean?
Explain?

The whole video further cemented him as clueless to me but, what was worse, is his belief that fans will just swallow this.

Nobody expects us to spend mountains of money, just good money and recruit wisely. We had the manager in Poch, but without decent recruitment, nor decent spending, we declined.

Now he thinks average spending and no decent recruitment will improve us for some reason???
