Traore can be a match winner at any level and with better players alongside him than we had last season he will be a great asset if we can hold onto him. He is being linked with Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona so to not recognise him as a key player for Wolves is a bit bonkers

Nuno must have been bonkers I guess

Silva had a terrible 15 minutes or so, don't think he completed a single pass and his touch was awful. We know he can do better than that. First appearance in front of the fans maybe spooked him. The weirdest thing was seeing players who've been at the club over a year for the first time in the flesh.

Notable at the end that Cutrone headed down the tunnel on his own and despite two thousand people singing the pizza pasta song too him barely acknowledged them.

Traore looked dangerous, we were a lot more fluid in attack and I think it suited him.

Would love it if Bruno gets something out of Traore and you would think a more attacking approach would suit him. Must be tough for Cutrone though, in his head he has made his mind up he is leaving, I just hope he doesn't choose the wrong option again.

Still a bit concerned we won't see the additions we need but plenty of time yet.

It was interesting to see Traore on the left. Bruno has made it clear he likes inverted wingers and Traore looked equally comfortable going inside or outside his full back. I read online a few people being disappointed with Trincao but I thought he linked well with Semedo who played a very forward role.

We do need to get it right defending from corners though. Stoke’s goal was completely against the run of play and came from a scramble after we failed to clear a corner. And Sa seems a very different keeper to Rui. Very positive and keen to come off his line and even play as a sweeper on the edge of the box. That’s good if you get it right but I suspect we might have a few heart stopping moments

I suspect that the striker everyone craves is Silva, the attacking midfielder everyone craves is MGW and the CB that everyone craves is Mosquera. I hope I'm wrong but I won't be holding my breath waiting for that 'marquee signing'

Yeah I fear that may well be the case. Everyone seems positive about Mosquera which is good. Not seen many get excited about Trincao as yet but hopefully he livens up when things get going.

Canada were knocked out of the Gold Cup this week so Theo Corbeanu is now back with the Wolves squad

Trincao looks like Semedo did when he first arrived - unsure of his role and lacking confidence. Semedo has turned out to be one of our best players and I think Trincao will also be good when he finally hits his stride.

Semedo played as an attacking wing back yesterday which is surely his best position. Seems Bruno wanted him to play wide with Trincao tucked in. It will take Trincao a little time to adjust to the role and the pace of the English game, as it did with Neto, but no question the ability is there

Team for Coventry

Ruddy
Mosquera, Marques, Kilman
Hoever, Neves, Dendoncker, Ait Nouri
Gibbs White, Silva, Traore

Be good to see how Marques copes in the Coady role
I suspect that Traore will play in a front 2 with Silva and MGW in the No. 8 spot.
Or maybe it will be as Spangles has called it with a front 3

Marques has looked good there for the U23s

Is looking to me like Bruno is edging towards starting the season with a 343. Could be that will change when Neto is fit. But if there’s comings and goings before the end of the transfer window it could all change

Nice ball in by Neves, well taken goal by Fabio after 6 minutes

3-4-3 as expected for Wolves. Mosquera central of the back three. #wwfc

Is Neves in a more attacking midfield role?

posted on 1/8/21

Marques is playing in the centre of the back 3

Some great distribution by Neves early on. Looking like his old self. And MGW finally looking as though he belongs in the first team squad

Traore played on the left at Stoke but on the right here

Mosquera and Marques have swapped now. The former with a scary moment against Cov's Gyokeres, but recovers in time. #wwfc
