Not as bad as finishing 5th.
The result might give them the confidence to get the win over Croatia. England were an embarrassment.

I actually think that both sides were rather tenuous, lacked ambition and had zero creativity.
Scotland have never had those qualities so their excuses top England's.
Tbf most Scotch people seem to realise their team is utter shiiiite, so it's fair enough if they want to celebrate stopping us scoring a goal last night - because let's face it, that's all they actually achieved.
There's no shame in that.
Well at least not as much shame as it must be having Graeme Souness and Ally McCoist - two men who, as players, won numerous titles between them, but now celebrate 'grit and effort' more than actual achievement - representing you on national television.
The slightly unhinged glee in Souness's eyes and chest thumping tone of voice at FT almost made up for England's completely pathetic offering for the duration.
'Old man yells at cloud' springs to mind.
That said, I like Scotland.
I'm glad we own it.
