Klinsmann is the only one who wants it

he'd be a disastrous appointment but at this rate take him for a season hope relegation doesnt happen and get rejected a load again next summer

"Sevilla head coach Julen Lopetegui has rejected a “dizzying” offer to become Tottenham new manager."

Dizzyingly shiite I imagine?

I'd definitely have Mason ahead of Klinsmann. As long as we sell Winks and Sissoko so he can't play them by mistake

what makes this great is that Levy has grown so frustrated with leaks to media about our search and other rejections/falling through of deals, that he has said now he wanted to get it wrapped up quietly, so has sneaked a call in to the Sevilla manager and offered him a great deal only for him to tell him to fack off and for it to be leaked to the media by the Sevilla president totally snake-ing Levy.

but yes a great/dizzying offer probably means bog standard wage with very generous trophy and CL qualification bonuses, and looking from the outside in you look at the squad and the stubbornness of the chairman and think your bonus isnt being received any time soon.

It must have been a proper sneaky offer for their President to snake us off in the media like this.

I only did a brief Google, but it seems Lopetegui is paid £2.5m a year. We could treble his salary and still be paying half what we did to Jose.

It seems to change daily but Potter is now clear favourite with the bookies. Would prefer Ten Hag but I would actually be happy about that. Brighton play some nice football and I think it would translate into better results with better players.

Media playing games again. The longer the search goes on the easier the jokes.

Levy has really ballsed up the process. Obviously had no plan when he sacked Jose. To be honest this is why I'm glad there's a DoF now. Next time we sack a manager at least someone else would be consulted that has contacts to replacements.

It's Levy there likely rejecting.

Soon they'll say Sterling, Jesus, Laporte, Walker, Mahrez all rejected Spurs because they wouldn't be part of trade deal for Kane.

It is well. More fun and games ahead

I can understand non Spurs fans believing everything they hear / read, given it fuels their need to belittle Spurs at every opportunity.

But really guys, do you really believe everything that comes out in the media must be right ? really ??

I appreciate Levy is a football idiot, but come on, nobody can make that many "alleged" mess ups when it comes to appointing an manager at a club that will pay well and is in the so called best league in the world.

For me, about 75% of this rubbish is either totally made up, or a best a story pitched as factual, when the writer just has a bit of gossip or rumour to work with.

I agree that there's a lot of nonsense reported in the media, but I'm convinced the following were true:

- Poch
- Conte
- Fonseca
- Gattuso

Those cases alone are enough "mess ups" in anyone's book!

This is the club president giving a radio interview that was also posted on their official website. You can't write it off like some Twitter rumour.
