The PS5 is a very shy and cautious creature. You have extremely patient to track one down. and if you do find a possible location you have to be quick, because it has the ability to vanish in seconds.

I got one on launch when demand far outweighed supply - which is to be expected at that stage - but I’ve been surprised at how long this scarcity has persisted. Reminds me of when the original Wii launched and I went to Game every single week to see if they had one 😢
My recommendation would be to put a stock alert on Amazon - that’s where I got mine and managed to get my friend one a month or so after launch

I got one on launch when demand far outweighed supply - which is to be expected at that stage - but I’ve been surprised at how long this scarcity has persisted. Reminds me of when the original Wii launched and I went to Game every single week to see if they had one 😢

Was thinking that but I am in ireland mate. Customs etc is adding too much $.
Noticed a 2nd hand on Amazon, £529 before customs, rip off.
Smyths get stock soon again. Just have to keep checking the website

I got one a few weeks ago via Very, I'd recommend using the Hot Stock app and setting up an alert. It did take numerous attempts over the weeks and what I noticed was that a lot of the different outlets would have them in stock at a similar time.
I paid £520 for the disc version which came with Ratchet and Clank. If I hadn't have got the PS5 when I did then I'd have just continued to wait, no interest in paying silly prices.
Oh and avoid JD Williams like the plague. They took money from me for a different PS5 order then said the order hadn't gone through. Getting the money back thankfully wasn't an issue but they were beyond useless.
