Barcelona cant register players

They are in an absolute mess that is for sure and yet they are still trying to get Messi back on the wage bill. Isn’t Griezmann on an astronomical wage also? Won’t happen but would love a little bid for Pedri, he will be a superstar.
It’s going to take them a long time to get back to the very top. No wonder they wanted the ESL

Don't think the issue is with Messi. I believe he earns them back more money than they spend on him because he is such a global brand.

The issue is with players like Griezmann, Coutinho, Umtiti, Pjanic, Dembele et al, who they are spending ridiculous amounts on. They just released a guy they spent 10 mill on 18 months ago, with three years left on his deal, who played one game for them. Crazy.

They can't even register the ones they've bought.

They tried to, but both of them refused.

Ah, good on them, get that money, read barce have a 83% wages to turnover ratio which is ridiculous for a club their size

Once they get past this they'll be fine. They have three or four of the very best youngsters in Europe.

I still enjoy it though.

Is there any indication on what Messi himself wants to do? Is he still City bound or now wants to stay with Barca?

The guy they did release is apparently sueing them for unfair dismissal.

Shall we take a punt on Messi? I know he is unproven at this level but would be useful back up for a long season.

But what is it a weekend game? Or even worse, the weather is perfectly fine?

How far has Umtiti's stock fallen that they are trying to give him away? Is he that bad?

He's been pretty awful for a couple of years.

Perfectly fine weather doesn't happen in Stoke.

Glad that we missed out on him then.

Barca sure have spent a lot of money on players that haven't worked out in recent years.

You'd have thought they'll have to pay players to leave or or have very low transfer fees looking at those wages. No level headed club is going to match those.

That's the problem with players on big wages that don't perform. One of the main reasons we are so poor at getting a decent fee for the players we sell.

The whole Barca/Real duopoly seems like it’s built on sand. The tv deals are barely comparable to the PL one and whilst the rest of La Liga is a very watchable league IMO it’s not something that the wider world seems to care about. There’s a reason why Barca and Real are so desperate for a super league. I think eventually something will have to change, whether that’s one day absorbing PSG and maybe some of Serie A into some newly branded league but I would be shocked if the status quo remained Barca and Real would ever be as successful as their golden days.
