Kids up and down the country would murder their parents if they didn't have access to David Attenborough's Blue Planet genre.

It's a relatively cheap way to avoid more deaths than Covid.

I'm legitimately stunned that many of you Brits whine incessantly about paying a license fee for the immense value provided by the best public broadcaster in the world. Unbelievable.

I'm legitimately stunned that irrespective the value for money that the BBC might be that they are happy spunking £200m pa that could be saved in collection and happy paying Linekar £27kpw for a role that is hardly irreplaceable!

Think how much Euros you’ve got out of the BBC for about a £15 a month. Now think how much you pay Sky a month. I pay them best part of £100 a month. Throw in all the other BBC stuff and it’s incredible value for money, people that happily pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime bemoan it because it’s ‘compulsory’ when they’re paying similar for far inferior service out of choice.

Netflix is not inferior to the BBC.

Couldn't name a single thing I've watched from the BBC in yonks, hence not paying my license fee.. they don't produce anything I want to watch.

BBC 4 used to be great but hasn't produced any decent documentaries for too long. Mostly repeats and then you just get Top of the Pops on a weekends

Most of the license fee goes on dross like Strictly Come Dancing or stupid game shows that are just vehicles for B-list comedians that are recycled on many other Beeb (panel) shows.

I find that the news is too cautious in that it's often behind other news outlets with breaking news and can't cover all angles due to bias rules and being terrified of upsetting one side or the other of the political divide.

Never any decent sport on it either. Match of the Day is about it and I watch most of the PL highlights on the internet hours ahead of it these days.. can't stand many of the MotD pundits either so saves me skipping their crap analysis. Unless Wimbledon or skiing is your thing, there's no sport to watch.

Terrible, terrible service for the money they EXPECT from you. Haven't missed paying it once. Just watch everything on demand or through the internet. Pied my Sky Sports package n'all as that was a total waste too.. only thing they have worth watching is the PL or F1.. PL often produces snooze fests too. Most of their channels have the same show/sport on multiple channels simultaneously or just show Super League repeats, world pool championships , or sailing

North Koreans must be laughing at us. At least their government propaganda channel is free.
