They’ve struggled with finishing them all competition with or without a striker. Thought it was the right tactics, most of the time Spain win that game.

Which is my entire point. There aint that many top quality strikers in world football which is resulting in teams dropping the best they have available in favour of a midfielder. This may give them added creativity but at the cost of not having anyone they can rely on or even be in the position to finish the chances created.

They didn’t drop the striker because of missed chances though, they dropped the striker as they wanted to get the ball between the lines. That’s why I said the tactics worked.
