How can you miss out the 2 top scorers? Did southgate pick that team?
Surprised Lukaku got in ahead of Schik personally. Chiesa is a good shout as well, I thought Damsgaard may have got in.
Luke Shaw hands down should be in the team. Clean sheets galore, 3 assists and a goal. Spinazola didn't even play a minute after the R16.
Donnarumma,
Spinazzola, Bonucci, Maguire, Shaw
Jorginho, Pedri
Damsgaard
Chiesa, Schick, Sterling

Leo, this isn't a dig, but what's gone wrong with Scottish football? You're a nation that could produce players like Law, Baxter, Mackay, Dalglish, Souness, Johnstone, Bremner, Hansen, Lorimer, John Robertson, Murdoch etc, all guys that were top of their class... it's all a bit ordinary now
Shaw and Sterling should be in there.
Scratch that. Just seen Sterling made it.
Shaw should be in there.

Donnarumma,
Walker, Christensen, Maguire, Shaw
Pedri, Jorginho, Hojbjerg
Chiesa, Schtick, Sterling
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't drop Bonucci, he was outstanding in a team that won the competition in a final that he scored in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then It's a toss-up between Bonucci & Maguire (I deliberated over that one).
Given the circumstances...Not a chance Christensen doesn't make the side for me.
Vital cog in the Danish side.
Minute he was subbed off for the semi-final there was a massive drop-off from the Danes. His replacement (Anderson) first action was to aimlessly punt the ball-forward and that set the tone for the remaining time.
Christensen provided them with an abundant amount of flexibility, composure and control in and out possession.
Tactically phenomenal in defence and stepping into midfield from start of the tournament until the end.

He was good, but I'd still have Bonucci & Chiellini or Stones & Maguire, both absolutely outstanding partnerships..
I'm surprised Billy Gilmour isn't in there tbh.
Chiellini ,is a dead cert for the team ,he likes to cuddle everyone as well !

Didn’t Spinazzola miss the last 3 games?

He missed games but was unreal before it. Who came close to that level of performance that played LB? Even England fans cannot say Like Shaw 😅

Shaw and Maehle both had excellent tournaments

Surprised Messi didnt make the team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was busy winning things elsewhere
Sommer should have been the keeper. Made the most saves and was brilliant against Spain.
Maehle as well

Pickford over Donnarumma considering he only conceded 2 goals all tournament.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pickford was generally playing with a deep lying back 3/5 and 2 out and out holding mids in front of him ... kinda makes it easier to rack up clean sheets. Wouldn't deny he had a good tournament though, but big Donnarumma was head and shoulders above everybody.
Donnarumma made nine saves all tournament. Sommer made 21, Pickford 16
i liked Donnarumma's goalie gloves though
Surprising Mr Golden Boots didn't get a mention , but tbf quite understandable.
How is Shaw not in this
3 assists, a goal in the final, most chances created for England.
What a joke.
Maguire should not be ahead of Chielini and Sterling dived for a pen and was generally invisible against the Danes and Italy.
Lukaku's inclusion makes this even more of a joke.
Honestly wonder what the point of a team of the tournament is. Just drop the concept. It's shoehorning players in for the sake of it.
