I too hate being wished a good morning. Really boils my beetroots.
I too get angry when I don't understand something.
You're not really offended though are you.
I mean it all seems a bit pointless but it makes no difference to my life whatsoever whether Lufthansa airlines say 'Good morning ladies and gentlemen' or 'Good morning guests'. Who the hell cares?

It does seem a strange thing to get outraged about, it's entirely inoffensive, and if it makes some people happier then how's it a bad thing?

You're right, I'm more exasperated than angry, but it does appear that we are moving in the direction of newspeak as per the 1984 novel. What and where next? Are we going to lose Mister, Miss and Missus in the classroom?

I'm always offended when I'm referred to as a guest, as I identify as a client.

It'll be something like that, they're just not going to use gender specific nouns I guess

Either way, it's not really an issue.

I do!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Errrr why?
Obviously the people who have an issue with it are those who do not identify as a male/female. Tbf, I would say it is rude of somebody not to address everyone in the room, on board a flight etc. If somebody was to just address a specific gender or classification then it would be rude in my opinion.

The 'one' part might upset people who identify in the plural rather than the singular. Its a bit of a minefield.
Just saying someone is 'angry' or 'outraged', because you don't agree with them, is lazy, especially when they've raised a valid point, in a calm manner.

Can you identify as two "classifications" of gender, non-gender etc?
Or is it just one of them where you can identify as basically whatever you want?
