I like Ange so far

However until we get some full backs and some central defenders in then we are fcked !

Ralston and Taylor. ..gtf , Ralston is absolute murder

Where on earth is Julian and Bitton?

I thought Julian would be back by now ?

What do you make of this keeper coming out to play centre back stuff when we have the ball ?!?
Can't see that going wrong at all eh?!?

The new Israeli boy looks decent , as in...ah wid .He's probably good at football as well

Liking the recruitment , just not getting done quickly enough and it's always the same

Can't wait to see kyogo , He looks a great bit of business

But please get us some proper fullbacks

Julien’s injury was 9 months so back by end of august.

Starfelt appears to be flying to Scotland today, paraded tomorrow perhaps. Could go right into the team Tuesday.

Welsh is also poor btw, doubt he’ll make a career at Celtic once we get signings in.

Montgommery is the real deal.

Yeah I felt a lot of the praise Welsh got last year was due to him not making any obvious howlers rather than actually impressing.
Basically he wasn't Shane Duffy.

I thought the young boy Murray showed up very well yesterday
Welsh is decent , still developing and never lets you down
Ralston is dugmeat ! Taylor is barfing , boli is brutal

You can't expect to see out games when your fullbacks are so crap .

Seriously needs to be addressed quickly

Dane Murray looks a good prospect. He’s only 18 and looks very composed. Much better than most of our defenders.

Agree with NNH on Montgomery.
Every time I've seen him he has stood out.
As long as we don't overplay him, I'd be happy for him to be our first choice LB this season.

As for our other young players, I see nothing to give me any encouragement.

Welsh might have a decent career at championship level. Sone of the others might match that but none are outstanding.

The centre halves are a bunch of Josh Thompson clones and Dembele will never match the hype.

Need to buy sone experience and clear out the idiots running the youth and scouting programs

Bad timing. We were going to ask him to play centre half on Tuesday night

Lauders is partially correct - Welshy doesn't make blunders so immediately he's an improvement. However, he's never going on a mazy and he isn't so imposing in stature that he's going to boss it in either box but he is solid. He is way better than Scottish championship level. Time will tell whether he can be a Celtic mainstay?

Dane is composed and will only get bigger. He's played a lot at RB and coaches love that flexibility when it gets down to subs. Hjelde is decent too. Both need to go out on loan and get experience cos they're not yet ready to be rag dolled by Morelos and others. Whether they will be binned to the B squad I don't know - I don't think players are allowed to shuttle between the two?

Monty has done way better than I expected but no way is he ready to be our LB! For starters he's really a winger though DOD converted him the last year out of necessity. Brody Paterson is a year older and way ahead of him and has had a season at QP. Faster and stronger if not so effective in the front third. Can't believe he has been put in the B squad yesterday and isn't challenging yet Monty is getting the nod for the 1st team? He also didn't appear to be down in Wales - it's like Ange hasn't seen him yet? Or, more likely, refusing to agree to sign an extension so he's being black balled?

The B has been updated online - 16x midfielders and 5x keepers! Good luck with no game time, guys!

Hjelde has been put in, Coffey, Moff, Otoo - all guys that were in Wales. Surprised Murray is being seen ahead of Hjelde after he spent half a season at RC but hey ho, things change and my guess is simply they see 1st team squad cover flexibility in Monty & Murray?

I meant English championship for Welsh.

I dont believe we'll buy a decent LB so I'd rather invest a season developing Montgomery than suffer Taylor or Boli.

We've no decent FBs and no sign of one appearing! Mentioned yesterday both are regularly popping up in CM positions - would be good to see a heat map - as though it is part of the shape like a 2-2-2-4? Dunno?

The big concern is last year, murdered down the flanks and scheite at CB & keeper defending crosses so unless Starfelt is the messiah we are headed for the same?

On that we are agreed.

Ange is irrelevant. Nobody could do anything with that lot

Yep, it’s an uber-shambles, isn’t it? Quite extraordinary just how badly prepared we’re going into our biggest money games of the season. If only we’d known when the CL qualies were … or that we needed an entire new back 4 + keeper.

He'll be away if shunted to b squad.

For all these boys it is a tricky one - kick heels in 1st team for the status or at least get a game with the B's or go out on loan?

For the younger boys in the B squads I imagine there will still be an U18 fixture series that they can get game time but it's scheite shuttling between two squads

In fairness he knocked back manyoo for the chance of first team football so I'd hope he'd be involved at times this year.

He's still just 17! Big fckr, early developer and we know how distracting that can be. Very tough to get in a 1st team at that age far less CB.
