Possibly from going out to watch the Euro final, although that was a week ago. Generally been very good with hygiene and following the rules, missus is a nurse and has spent a lot of time on covid wards when needed.

I've just taken a test today. Been proper rough all weekend. Lateral flow was negative, but HIV was positive

We'll be seeing one in about 6 weeks time in all likelihood. Whilst the vaccines have proportionately reduced hospitalisations, when you allow 10 times as many people to become infected the overall number of hospitalisations will be just as high as in January.

Chasing herd immunity whilst there is a virtual certainty of mutations is a pretty questionable policy, even ignoring the number of deaths we'll see in the interim

Still masks for us in indoor public places/public transport etc. I do feel sorry for those tasked with informing visitors they've stepped into another country though.

I reckoned that would be the case. It's a shame the entitled few spoil it for the rest. I will avoid the beach/prom/coastal areas for a bit though as it'll just be madness. Some forests away from the coast await my dog for his walk in the next few weeks.

We may not always get along but I genuinely hope you are ok and recover well.

Listen get a PCR test. Last week a lad at work who was out for England was ill asf. Anyway on Tuesday night his mate who he had been out with text him to say he was positive.

I ordered him in to work anyway (regrettably now) on Wednesday because we have lateral flow tests. He came back negative but after seeing him unwell I sent him home to get a PCR test and carry on working.

Thursday morning he was positive so now I have ordered everyone to WFH.

Serious get a PCR test.

Well we have LF tests that I thought were up to scratch but clearly aren't.

I only have a loss of taste/smell at the moment and a cold, feel tired/lethargic but slept poorly anyway as it was pretty hot.

I reckon it is nailed on that there will one in winter. Back in April, NHS senior management were asked to prepare for a lockdown in November/December time. Whilst it potentially makes sense to plan for the worst, it sounded pretty much like this is fully expected to happen.
