Impressed with most of what I saw. Middle to front it was impressive and a couple of new additions there and we’ll be fine. 1 is already on his way to be fair.

We however, need a new keeper, Starfelt, 2 new full backs and possibly a 2nd left back.

All being said, last night was great to be back and with no away goals. It’s game on over there.

i liked our movement, composure on the ball, was better than i expected.

2 experienced players let us down, bitton doing his best to mess up, he should be out the door for that imo.

Barkas for their equaliser was a complete joke.

Ralston and Taylor aren't good enough but i don't blame them, it's not their fault we have them and not their fault we play them, they try their best.

Yup.
Ralston is murder but he doesn't shirk, hide or lack effort.
He cant be blamed for being a horrific footballer.

Edouard on the other hand....

As for Ajeti, cant decide if hes genuinely as bad as he seems or if hes just doing it to annoy me

Ajeti might... might just be effective if we had wide men that could beat their FBs and put in crosses that just need tapped in. Otherwise I really don't see what he offers - very ordinary pace, control, movement, strength...it's just not enough for me.

I'll say this for Lenny - he'd be telling him to fck off as he trudged down the tunnel whilst simultaneously spitting his snus down the back of Ralston's shirt.

I thought it was decent, can tell we actually work on tactics and with better players we'll be fine

we need a new back 5, Welsh proved last night he's decent back up, Murray looks good but showed his age towards the end with sloppy passes and touches, Bitton has been stealing a wage with us for years, Taylor and Ralston are abysmal I've never seen Taylor beat a man in my life

how have we ended up replacing Tierney with Boli and Taylor, horrible

Soro was good as was McGregor but I felt Turnbull wasn't up to speed and might struggle with the pressing game, my mate at the game said he looked gubbed after 50mins

Christie was good, I'd happily use Christie as the no.10/2nd striker next week with Forrest and Abada either side of Eddy

thought the boy who elbowed Bitton should've been sent off

Bitton a fookin idiot for reacting for his 2nd yellow, no arguments

didn't think it was a foul for there goal however Barkas is a disaster, pulling his hands away from that, awful

I'd happily never see Barkas, Taylor, Bitton and Ralston in a celtic jersey ever again

i'd just take what we can get for eddy and punt him now.

i dont say that lightly because he is a top talent, but he's not interested in being here anymore.

see tbh, i'm not even sure i blame him, he's a great prospect and he's part of an absolute schit show right now.

People can blame him and his lack of effort for that as well, but he came to a top brendan rodgers celtic, and then got stuck with a slob instead.

Was impressed with the new signing Abada, looks like we are well covered on the right wing with him, Forrest and wee Dembele. Outside of Starfelt arriving I still think we could do with another CB but this is unlikely with Jullien due back. We definitely need an RB x2 at least 1 decent LB, a decent GK, and a decent CF. I really don't think Eddie or Christie will be here come window closing, the same with Ntcham, Boli and hopefully fvckface Griffiths sent to Siberia. I don't expect us to have all our issues solved in this transfer window and I fully support Ange on calling our transfer activity not good enough.

When I seen Griffiths warming up I was dreading him going on but hoping he'd get booed to fvck.

I must be missing something with Eddy as I thought he had a good game. Energetic, good link up, showing for the ball. He missed a bad one on one that he should have scored but aside from that I thought he looked far more interested than all of last season.

he done alright mate but for the level of talent he has it was nowhere near what he is capable of.

the one on one, head up and feeling good he finishes that.

Eddy was in and out the game, chased the ball down for an about an hour then sort of faded but I felt the majority of them did as the game went on Christie and Soro aside.

He needs to do better with the chance he had just after we scored, tried to do too much when all he had to do was beat 1 man and hit a shot and needs to score 2nd half n the ties over

Thought we started slowly but found a rhythm and started dominating then bitton

Was impressed with Soro - he has a great touch and can pick a pass. Thought Christie was very good throughout and looked dangerous - playing for a decent transfer?

The new boy played well - shame he had to get hooked when we went to 10. The young centre half was great when he kept it simple but promising for the future.

Edouard is is in serious danger of completely fkng up his whole career because of his attitude 😕

Edouard?

The one who like practically all of last season looked like he’d rather be anywhere else other than Celtic Park and absolutely not on the pitch?

Utter and complete waste of space and to me the annoying thing was I never expected any different. He gave us exactly what we’ve been blindly ignoring for well over a year and a half now.

Piish poor control, zero space, complete unawareness of team mates, trying to dribble through 3-4 defenders at a time, pathetic tap back to their keeper when one on one.

If it was anyone else he’d be as far removed from the first team squad is as possible. Get rid as soon as. I no longer care about holding out for a bigger fee. He’s a distraction is all.

Yeah I do think there's a case of the supporters waiting for Edouard to 'click' and show the form of 2/3 years ago

I don't think he was bad last night but his levels have dropped alarmingly

Agree with all of this

He's clearly imposed a style on the team , but I think alot of it revolves around having two good full backs

He wants them to cut inside when we're narrow at the back and then upfront he wants the wingers going narrow and the full backs taking up the wide areas

So he clearly needs two good players who can do this

I would bet he could identify them as well , we just need to back this guy and do as much as we can for him
It feels already like he's firefighting with the board on bringing people in

MacGregor was excellent last night , and soro was great in spells also

He has full backs cutting into

you can see what he is trying to do, my worry was when i watched the full backs move inside and the cbs go wide, mainly because i wouldnt trust ralston or taylor to keep the ball in the centre of the pitch.

He was inside the shambles last season and he clearly thinks that Celtic are on the wane so sees his future elsewhere

and still got about 20 goals

Taylor got the ball fired into him in the middle of the park in the first 2/3 mins n mis controlled it straight away

he's very poor

Sounds like the confidence is building....

I thought the celtic team looked pretty much as strong as it might be this season middle to front in terms of quality of player. I would be impressed if Eduoard is replaced by a player of higher quality.

The quality of player in celtics back five can be improved upon massively but fortunately they werent up against much last night.

I though celtic took a few risks playing out the back and a couple of players didnt look overly comfortable at times receiving the ball in the first 15 minutes when the Danes were pressing a bit higher.

You can see how celtic are planning on playing and it will deffo bring rewards a lot of the time. The good thing for opposition managers is that the tactics are pretty clear. And it largely relies on celtic having better footballers who are fitter than the opposition.

The hope would be when you play against teams that are tactically well drilled, strong in midfield and quick on the counter attack then you might have difficulties.

If oppo managers work you out and have the quality/tactics to exploit the gaps then they could get a fair bit of joy.

I think it will be a pretty exciting season ahead with a few high scoring games.

Hopefully

i expected to be beaten last night, so our play was pleasing until that weirdo decided to chuck it.

we won't replace eddie with like for like thats for sure, i'd be worried about us dipping into the market for another striker given our lack of success in that area.

i can think of 4 in 10 years that have been a success, hooper, dembele, eddie, and for 2 seasons griffiths.

Furuhashi will start when he's here as will Starfelt

Forrest will come in

we need 2/3 full backs, 2 right backs and a left back, Montgomery can fill in at left back

See the Celtic women have signed the first Chinese woman player in the UK.

And to save you a look: naw.

Also: side to side, you know. Not up and down.

it's really quite astounding just how depleted our squad has become, through nothing more than mismanagement in the board room and dressing room.
