Without doing the maths I bet the club's spent at around the same rate for him as they did for Van Gaal and Mourinho. You expect United to spend big, it's just that until recently you expected them to spend badly as well. I don't think we're too far off a good team now

Smalling and Lukaku didnt want to be at the club, and quite honestly, if they werent prepared to stay and fight for their position, then they shouldnt be at the club.
Telles cost peanuts and gave shaw the kick up the backside needed.
VDB was highly regarded by many in europe who hasnt worked out.
who exactly would you have sold martial and henderson too? as far as im aware not too many teams are knocking on the door and enquiring about martial.
