All well and good to reschedule to next year but missing the point completely. What about the fans who have spent money on travel and accommodation and taken time off work for this test match?

Test cricket obviously not that important these days, so it's on to the IPL we're the big money is, that seems to be the priority these days

Test should be rescheduled or awarded to England otherwise.
I don't think the two situations are exactly the same. England and South Africa had positive tests on both sides so I think it was a shared decision to cancel the ODI series.
The timing is unfortunate for many who travelled etc and if the postponement was absolutely necessary then I think all would understand. I think most just struggle to understand why the circumstances this week are any different to last week and what changed between last night and this morning?

India players cry off to play IPL instead of finishing the test series they agreed to. Disgraceful from India IMO, they didn't fancy it in the end. Hope something is done about this.

Seems a bit bonkers that we have a 15 man squad for 1 test I know it's the same squad as was originally picked with Jamie Overton and Sam Billings drafted in.
I can't see Craig Overton playing, it's surely Broad, Anderson, Potts and Jamie Overton fighting it out for the 3 seamer spots.
Plus if the decision is to play Billings if Foakes doesn't recover then you don't need Brook in the squad either. Although I guess a couple more could go down with covid so I've just answered my own question.
Anyway, looking forward to the game now and with England's new approach under Stokes, we should get a result either way. Hopefully he's been working on his bowling as Leach will be targeted especially in the first innings.
