Partly because the worst president ever has been booted out. I agree with your sentiment Robb, but shiiiittty social media networks like Facebook and tw@trter don’t help

It's crazy that Fox news have been spouting anti-vaxx rhetoric while all being double vaxxed and requiring a vaccine passport to enter the building.

Maybe Murdoch's long game is to remove these thick focks from the gene pool?

Covid allowing, I should be at the 5th test at the SCG. Annoyingly it will probably 3-0/4-0 by then. They’re talking about making Sydney the first or second test in the coming years as at the moment the ashes are usually won by the time it hits Sydney.

posted on 22/7/21

Actually this time round the Sydney test is the 4th game. No WACA this time for England to be battered at. The Optus stadium is one of the best in the world but not sure it’s gonna be anywhere near as intimidating as the WACA was.

Robb: ran into any of Australia’s nasty critters since you’ve been back? Huntsmen spiders? Snakes? Shane warne?

Huntsmans a few times a month. No snakes although I’m tempted to take a go pro on a long stick and go find some. And no Warne just yet. I would geek out if so though.

With regards to the OP, there is very little shift in the USA at the moment. The odd one or two from Fox News have changed their tune and the odd Republican representative.

The disinformation from the right wing outlets and twatbook is not only killing off the money source it is killing off their voters.

The GOP will not be able to re take the swing states they lost if most of their voters are dead. And it is looking that way at the moment. I read the other day that 99.9 % of deaths are un vaccinated people.

On the Ashes, I don't thing the Aussies will win 5-0. 4-0 probably with England scraping a rain affected draw.

Yes and no. Lack of deaths is always a huge success story but there is a huge lack of herd immunity and a very slow vaccine roll out. It’s getting there but people are very hesitant to take the AZ jab. Once the Pfizer is available en masse Australia should catch up like Canada did after a slow start. We’re lucky we can shut the doors to overseas arrivals in ways most other countries do but it does mean we’re probably a year behind the rest of the world in terms of beating COVID.

Yeah, for sure. Usually on a wall while you’re watching Tv and out of the corner of your eye a dinner plate sized spider appears. They’re completely harmless though so you just learn to live with them. The flies in Australia are the most annoying thing and Huntsman eat them so they become your mate.
