I'd be totally happy for my club to bid £150m on Haaland if we were in a position to and we needed a striker.

I just don't feel Haaland wants to come here, if he would he'd be telling Dortmund this by now and they would be mad to reject that money, should the rumoured prices are right.

Think Real Madrid have got into his head already, they are rebuilding and could get Haaland and Mbappe for a combined fee of around 70M next summer and start a new era with the two of them as the two superstars of the new Real Madrid. Surely this sounds great for every football player, as much as I hate them and think they are a corrupt club, always have been, they are the biggest club in the world.

Personally I think we should pay whatever it takes to get Haaland. Even if we paid £200 million he'd be worth it considering how good he is and how young he still is. Otherwise we're just going to carry on spending lots of money on strikers that don't make the grade here.

Barcas economy is finished having to sell cheap just to keep messi. Real madrid are just as tapped financially as Barca so no big threat there. i think we should offer 95 million to get him now and let them keep him till next season then everybody is happy. i think Werner will be a lot more effective this season with a full preseason behind him.

You don’t spend 95 million on one of the best strikers in Europe then loan him back.

then we wont be getting him at all this season and city will take him next season as partner for kane and everybody will be forked

You think Pep, who often plays without a recognised striker at all, and when he does typically favours nimble technical players is suddenly going to revert to a formation we haven’t seen in years, with two big number 9’s? Or have players like that on the bench or out of position?

If we do sign Haaland, the chances are we’ll have him 4 years and then he’d be off to Madrid. Signings of this cost and prestige are structured in such a way that a loan back simply wouldn’t happen.

thing is...we really don't know how good he is...sure he looks it, but hasn't played in the Prem, or in a really top notch side

I'm struggling to find a reason why Haaland would even wanna come now even if Dortmund accepted a bid? In a years time he gets more money, Raiola gets more money, and he gets his pick from pretty much every top club in the world. Unless he has an emotional attachment to Chelsea, which we know he doesn't, it makes no business sense what so ever for him.

I will say even if we secretly know (in house) Haaland this summer is impossible - making a public, concerted effort to sign him now, and no-one else in the CF role, can't hurt our chances get him a year from now. It's risky if we actually want a striker now, but it will help a bit, cos our "project" pitch will have weight.

This is the greediest comment ever. As if the difference in money would be substantial enough over the span of his career that he would go hungry because it. Chelsea more than take care of their players. Nah you’re reaching.

Everyone knows Real and Barca are struggling financially as well.

Are you also suggesting players make their decisions based on their agents bonus?

Nobody is guaranteed to succeed but he’s more likely to succeed than just about all others and that’s hard to deny.
