How can you be mid table and look down your nose at a player who contributed to two consecutive top 4 finishes and a CL win?

So why do you want to get rid if he is that good?

Ramsdale doesn't improve upon what Arsenal have
------
He is far better than Runarsson, Okonkwo and Hein.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He will not want to come as a back up. And I don't see Arsenal spend that much for a back up keeper. So unless he is better than the current number 1,he doesn't improve on what Arsenal already have.

1 - Leno is staying, so he would be coming as back up. He will believe he can force his way into the #1 spot in time.
2 - £18m is the reported fee, less than Arsenal paid for Leno, who was back up to Cech until the Czech got injured.

Abraham is better than Nketiah.
If we are prepared to spend £40m for him , why not go for Patrick Bamford or another striker

I think they would both be decent signings tbh.

Both have good attitudes by all accounts and I can't help but feel a bit more of that is needed at Arsenal moving forward.

Could have kept Emi but spending £32m on Ramsdale makes more sense.

Could have kept Saliba but spending £50m+ on White makes more sense.

Could play Balogun but spending £40m on Abraham makes more sense.

Wonder what RB we’ll splurge big money on next while trying to bin off AMN in the process.

Don’t get me wrong but I think Mikel is trying to transform this club into a hardworking pressing team and only young English players are ready for the challenge that is PL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wwwhat a load of "Overhype English players" claptrap. People in this country REALLY need tio get a feckin grip. Yeah it sucks but though we may have the most entertaining league in the world, WE DO NOT HAVE THE BEST FOOTBALLERS!

When itr comes to football England is and for some time still will be BEHIND the best of the rest internationally. It's that kinda "English players are the greatest SH !T mentality that's part of the reason we ain't won sh !t since 1966. ANY FECKER WITH A GOOD PAIR can handle the PL, nothing to do with where he's born. Hence most of the league's top players are FOREIGN

Andf if England and the English would just accept that fact then we might just finally produce a team good enough, willing to work hard enough to actually bring it home. DAmned sure aint gonna happen whilst the whole country still keeps thinking it's better than it actually IS at footy.

You tell them WB2. Two semi finals and a final in 3 years shows how far you English are behind the rest of Europe.

Arteta is building the Core players around English players, Saka, Smith-Rowe, Ben White, and possibly Tammy. They haven't got much options, with with money it's hard to see elite players join them right now.

English players are unreasonably expensive though

We are buying English players because Artitler sold/banished all our home grown players

Leno was brought in to be first choice, sooner rather than later.
I'm not sure the same can be said for Ramsdale.
Do you think Ramsdale is better than Leno?

Leno was brought in as back up to Cech with the hope he could challenge Cech and perform when needed, with the chance he could become #1

Welbecks best PL season was 9 goals. He averaged 4 goals a season for us.
Abraham scored 15 PL goals in his debut season for Chelsea and was their top scorer last season, and added 4 assists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stats don’t tell the story. Tammy is a bang average footballer. Won’t take us anywhere near where we want to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Correct. Abraham is a donkey. Occasionally donkeys get a few goals because they're playing for a team that gives them chances even they can't miss. Arsenal aren't that team at the moment.
