Duje Ćaleta-Car is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille and the Croatia national team. He was a member of the Croatian squad which ended as runners-up to France in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

According to reports there's nothing in this. Still ongoing with Romero.

We tried to sign him in Jan but it was last minute to Marseille told us to do one. Not too dissimilar to Lovren from what I have seen.

That would probably be a cause for concern then.

I'm not sure how Nuno has been/how he wants to play at Spurs, but I think he'd do alright in a back three.

Curious as to the source of the 'confirmed' deal ?

Spurs have agreed a deal to sign Croatian defender Duje Caleta-Car for £20.5m, according to Croatian outlet SportKlub.

Liverpool were rumoured to be after him last xmas but he was too expensive to they went for the Turkish lad instead.

Dunno anything about him other than that.

We have been linked to him for about a year. Seems like one that should get better rather being the finished article now. I'd be slightly concerned that he cannot get past Vida and Lovren for the national team but he seems to have done pretty well in France.
