Shaw surpassed Robertson last year in case you missed it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really, 2 assists less than him???
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mane had half of Sancho's goal contributions but is the superior player, so a couple assists less isn't like Shaw was clearly at a level lower.

Unless you use stats when they are convenient and ignore them when they aren't, I suppose.

TAA didn’t find a team mate 511 times

* Shaw 250

Trent is class, as an attacking/creative full back there are few players on his level in fairness. Shaw does need to perform as he has been for longer to really have that argument. He's capable of earning his place in that argument but Trent has shown more often and for longer what a talent he is. The corner against Barca in the CL was outrageous.

Ignore this, think I got your point muddled.

Liverpool’s whole game is built around the full backs getting the ball into the box

That’s why those 2 have the ball the most, play the most passes, usually get the most assist and Liverpool clearly lead the league in number of crosses.

So when their output is marginally better than a full back who is not the fulcrum of our attacking play it highlights how poor they were last season.

If Shaw in the form he is in, played for Klopp he would be getting assists galore

I reckon Trent’s gonna be right back on form next season.

It was wrapped up in a genuine prediction.

Unless Liverpool’s cb’s all keep getting injured again next season - which isn’t the wildest scenario given three of them are crocks and one has returned from an acl injury - it should really help his form next season.

Plus I think he’ll have had his nose put out of joint with all the England stuff and really have a point to prove.

Firmino’s gonna have a LOT of misses next season with all the chances Trent will create for him.

I've a feeling he's going to play Salah/Jota up top not Firmino. He toyed with all four last season too.

Hence why we need a striker and not another wide forward, the amount of chances we miss from crosses into the box is mid boggling.

Kane would have a field day with the quality our fullbacks have.

I dunno, I reckon Firmino is Klopp’s love child. The teeth give it away.

Are you linked with any? I haven't exactly kept an eye on rumours from a Liverpool perspective.

Don’t you need to move a few on because of the squad restrictions?

Yer, we’ve got the 17 but Shaq looks like he’s off and there’d be another Origi, Minamino!

Elliott not taking up a squad place is good for you as well. He looks a real talent.

England have got talented young attackers coming out their ears at the moment.

Yer, had a good spell last season on loan be interesting to see what he can do.

Well that's the double wrapped up for you lot then!

Would you consider having a punt on Ings? If Jota and Firmino are still at the club, Ings as well gives you solid options and doesn't rely on dropping a ton of cash. I know he's been and gone but was it not mainly injury that disrupted his first spell?

I’d never have sold Ings tbh, Origi would’ve gone first but I can see him coming back.

Wouldn’t mind Ollie Watkins

I expect us to win the league next season. Our team is packed full of talent.

I have no objections to any united fan believing they will win the league, they have made 2 outstanding signings and if shaw and maguire carry their euros form across all of a sudden there's a very formidable team there.

I think any of the big 4 can lay claim to fancy their chances next season. City arent as far ahead as the league suggested last season. Its certainly the strongest looking 4 i can remember since the fergie rafa jose wenger years.

I honestly think you lot are favourites with City for the title. On paper your team looks superb
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very hard to judge but on paper you wouldn’t have many utd players over city’s or Liverpool’s still for me.

Genuine class on paper is who

Shaw
Maguire?
Varane?
Pogba
Bruno

And thats about it until rashford regains his form,
Question marks over maguire as although he’s improved still had some shockers last season (spurs for example) and varane as a new signing.
