Guiseley TV

Were we playing Guiseley in a pre-season friendly where one of the crowd filmed it and posted it on FB, someone on here asked whether it was being recorded through a potato, made me smile.

Mrs V bought me a £99 stone for outside the ground in Nov, for xmas. Still no sign of it and club not replying to her emails asking for an update. Not good.

Annoying with the price hike, but perhaps they got it wrong the first time and that's why the links disappeared?

Not sure if this is true or not, but read somewhere yesterday that it is the home team that is in charge of setting prices for online streaming games.

The club hasn’t had any match day income for 18 months.

For four games, I don’t think it is a bad price.

And anyone thinking of illegal streaming, once you do that, you have zero right to complain about spending on the playing staff

To be honest, I don't see those prices as that bad. Bit unprofessional to up the price after already posting them, but 4 games for 13 quid isn't terrible.

Friendlies are always a bit dull and Bielsa's friendlies have been pretty weird. Did we lose to Stoke or something last year?

Interesting mix of experience and under 23's. Read a lot of comments about Struijk starting in preference to Cooper this season, I don't buy this and as captain and senior pro, I expect it still to be Coops' place to lose.

Preseason being what it is combined with the fact that both Philips and Llorente have only recently come back from the Euros, I expect Koch and Struijk to start or play some role against Blackburn. One of them in central mid.
I would also be surprised if a b-side this evening includes Roberts.

Agree on the price, just the underhand way they hiked the price, it shows contempt for the fan base and leaves a nasty taste. Genuinely think someone made a mistake, if you look at my previous post, I questioned why it costs more for the package than if you buy individually. That said, I think it would show more class and good faith for them to stick to the original price not just remove the link and then replace it with the actual price, doesn't leave a good taste.
I hear the point about sourcing illegal streams, I will probably pay the full whack, will go with the many thousands of pounds I have spent on Leeds over the years (for example, it costs me significantly more than most fans to get to a match), will that reinstate my right to moan?

Reckon it will be like Bielsa's first season, where the bench will be made up of a collection of young players. Will be the same bench for both games.

Many are very negative towards Forshaw but, assuming he can keep fit, I envisage him having a significant role so wouldn't be surprised to see him playing a major part of pre-season including Blackburn.

Think it benefits these players playing 60 minutes today more than twenty minutes tomorrow. About building fitness, and staking a claim, like Klich in Bielsa's first season.

I’m expecting mainly U18s playing tonight at Guiseley
We have 3 main friendlies for the senior players - Blackburn Betis and Ajax. Expecting a very youthful side to head to fleetwood

As said, think it will be a mix. Better for the back-up senior players to get more minutes, regardless of the opposition, than playing bit-part roles in pre-season, with Ajax likely just being the first team.

I think it was maybe a typo if it was cheaper to buy all the games individually, rather than in a block.

It would be nice if they explained it though.

Dangerous game trying to predict line ups for friendlies.

Will be pretty meaningless until the last 1 or 2 as well. These games are just about getting match sharpness.

Grayson has said that as part of the agreement to play the friendly Bielsa has made a number of requests that the opposition must adhere to. Wouldn't give detail but said he's never been asked to do this before.

My soccer stream is showing a live stream for tonight's game, I don't know whether there will be one, looking forward to it.
