Spending since Solskjaer was appointed United boss

#MUFC £393m
#ManCity £298m
#ChelseaFC £262m
#Spurs £255m
#Arsenal £243m
#Liverpool £119m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not defending him because he has to deliver but lets put that spend into context of what he came in to, whst he's shifted and the type of players he's bought and then compare that to pep for example spending the same amount on two new keepers and a brand new backline.

Context!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A fair take. I would go as far as say our recruitment since he has been here has been world class. But he now has the players, I am not talking premier league here, another cup final lost and this man may have to depart
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want a title challenge. Last year was disappointing but a step further in his tenure. This season will define him.

Lets go!!

I think the pandemic economic effects has affected some club's abilities to spend what they'd prefer to again.

The thing is the club was always financially sound when after being saddled with debt and Glazers using it as a cash machine.

Those struggling are paying the price for greed and spending beyond their financial needs

Good to see, for once, Real brought down to their knees.

34m! Absolute bargain. Let's hope he's stellar next season and seasons after.

I am genuinely excited about the upcoming season.

We lost the fewest PL games of any team last season. Sadly far too many draws took the title to the middle East.

Turn a few more of those draws into wins and we should be much closer this season.

We've been one of the fortunate clubs to have a lesser burden impact from the pandemic. But we've managed it to the best that we could.

Improvements have been made both on and off the pitch which is very pleasing to see.

The owners have 'gone back into hiding' but have kept their word (not that they haven't been stingy in the past) to help United to progress with further funds available.

As with Madrid, they've kind of been forced to do a deal with us due their own current economic mini crisis. Which has been a blessing in disguise, as it's never a bad thing to see Madrid in distress for once.

Yes, 34 million is a steal in today's market, and i personally think he would improve our defence alongside Maguire.

It's looking bright for us next season, but we have to do it on the pitch too.

Don't think we'll lose another 6 at home again next season (hopefully!) But we must start making Old Trafford a dreaded fortress again.

Teams should be coming to OT fearing about losing again.

Problem now Prem is with excitement and expectation comes immense pressure. Can Ole handle the heat? I have my doubts, hope Ole proves me wrong for his sake!

I think we are one decent CDM away from playing more with the handbrake off!

I think it's sometimes Ole's ineffective in game management that has caused him problems during his time here.

He now has better tools to cement that fortress. That being said, we've got a set piece specialist on board now. Will be quite interesting to see how we fare when we encounter these set situations during games.

True, but i think it's dependant on what happens with Pogba during this window.

I cant remember a window like this, maybe when we got Hargreaves, nani and Anderson.

Let's hope they're equally as successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

All won the CL and PL in their first season didn't they?

Didn't think this one through did you Boris? 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
pretty sure Anderson scored the winning penalty in the CL too
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah he did. Then he starting eating 10 packs of crisps a day. 😂😂😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't want to be pedantic but it was Giggs who scored our last pen. Anderson smacked one down the middle the kick after Terry missed.

It is a decent window thus far though it has to be said! We're really addressing problem areas with these signings.

Correct on the pens. Ando did score the winning penalty in the 09 League Cup final against Spurs, I think.

That he did. Ben Foster in goal for United that day too. Played well if I remember.
