I had hopes for him. But I'm not sure where they came from. Maybe just because Jose said he was the best young full back in Europe, I've clung on to that, even though it's obvious that he was talking rubbish

Dalot and Williams, even Telles to a degree worry me defensively if we had to play them against anyone half decent. That’s probably why I’d be for signing Trippier if we could agree the fee, cover on both sides and genuine competition for AWB, particularly when we’re on the front foot and in attacking positions.

Other than Elangas good form, pre season has really been pointless so far. Been giving fitness to the U23s and some first teamers we want to try and sell. So far no benefit to the first team in preparation for the Leeds game.
