When I saw Dons article the other day about coming around on our situation I was surprised that any fan, particularly Don, would think there was any reason to be cutting the THFC hierarchy any slack.

This summer has so far been an unmitigated disaster. We have signed a GK that we didn’t need, and a 20 year old winger that we didn’t need. We have just sold our best defender and are currently looking at a starting CB pair of Dier and Sanchez when the season starts in 16 days. We haven’t addressed a single problem in the squad, and any players we do bring in will be last minutes buys starting with zero pre season with Nuno. And this on top of us taking 3 months to hire a 5th choice manager that had been out of work for 2 months himself by the time we settled on him.

The only tiny positives are Son signing a new deal and Lamela being gotten off the books.

I tried for a bit of positivity and looks like once again, we are being let down by the hierarchy messing around. Sold our best defender and we haven’t replaced him, shambles. Atalanta have to firstly sign Romero and pay Juventus for him. Only once he is fully their player can they sell him too us. Is that clear enough for you?🤔😳

I understand Paratici operates on a system whereby he targets several similar players at once, then he has alternatives if his plans don’t go the way he wants, which is I suppose better than having to start from scratch again.

I would assume (dangerous I know) the Paratici has certain parameters allowed re fees etc without recourse to the Board, which he of course now sits on.

If it’s up to the player he clearly chooses Barca. Big signing and not the easiest to get over the line with no CL. Good thing we have back up targets

Spurs won't be signing Romero. Not sure why supporters get their hopes up.

Probably be going in against City with CCV judging by the amount of pre season he is getting. Nuno must be seeing something.

Spurs would do well to get this one over the line quickly. Seen a bit of Romero and he's looked decent for Atalanta and would be a good signing. Barca's financial issues might be of concern, but if they get someone else off the wage bill, you could put good money on them getting this transfer through.
