The thing holding him back is his in-game management. He has a laissez-faire mentality, so I can't see much improvement being made here. Without improving this, I can't see him bettering last season.

No one could foresee Liverpool's implosion.
There's always going to be a top team in the way at the top level, so it will require smarter management to top last season.
