That deal is a formality though as Juve have an obligation to sell. Atalanta have a 2 year loan option, so if nothing happened then he will just be at Atalanta next season and then we could potentially discuss with either Atalanta or Juve next year.
However this is just posturing. This will either be concluded over the weekend or be dead in the water by Monday - my guess is we get him this weekend

Personally I suspect this deal is basically done, but Atlanta are dragging their heels in signing Romero whilst finding a replacement. No evidence of that, just my suspicion.
Bologna defender also looks basically done, but Olympics means it's not yet signed off.
Happy to not jump on the boards back over this while we're negotiating for decent players that have roadblocks over timescale. If they can't get any of these deals over the line, then is the time to get shirty. There'll be a few incomings yet.
