Alderweireld was sold to Qatari side Al-Duhail SC for just £3million despite having a contract until 2023 and only being 32. Earlier reports suggested the club had pocketed £13million for the defender.

Levy pocketed £10m for himself and told everyone that he could only get £3m.
probably the wages he will be on? Was somewhat overrated tbh anyway, the main reason he was forced to resigning with Spurs in the first place the other year.
His wage demands must have scared other PL clubs off.
He's never been that in demand has he, which is why he was at Spurs. Atletico bombed him out and he has never commanded high fees. Gotta wonder why really.
There is no way Levy would have signed that off with Toby still having two years. He would have had him sitting in the reserves until the next transfer window over accepting anything less than at least £10m.

I know Toby is well into gambling and can often be found in a well known casino on edgeware road
Not that that has anything to do with anything but may explain the wage demands
I can't see that being true, especially if it has been reported by The Sun as well!
Even if this was true, for £3m his wages will have been too much to compete with sides from Qatar anyway, even for the big boys in this league as well.
