Always a bit suspect when people moan and finger point but don't offer up a solution. Rather than bemoaning it, why not break down how it should have been planned and where we went wrong?
I'd be interested in knowing what we should have done differently and you sound like you can explain that.

This season I’d imagine most of the big sides will start the season unprepared. We should still have a decent side out.
I wonder as Boris seems to have let COVID off the leash how much chaos there will be this season with players testing positive for COVID. Might make a lot of big players miss games.

Finally. Someone has asked the question.
Things were worse last season, but it’s still not good to have a lack of preparation for the season. There’s a few other clubs in the same boat, so we might see a slow start from a few of the bigger sides.
Good opportunity for Liverpool actually. They’ve missed a few players but the likes of Salah, Mane, Trent and Robertson have been playing pre season games.

Even if everyone was double vaxxed though each and everyone of them could still carry and spread the virus. The jab only reduces the risk of hospitalisation.
