Can't blame him at all. We're a shambles of a football club and miles off the top 4 let alone challenging for the big trophies.

Kane's been let down by the club. He's 28 and needs to go soon if he wants to win trophies.

His big mistake was signing a 6 year deal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so you say you cant blame him at all, and then say that its his mistake hes in this situation. so actually its all his own fault / his advisors fault
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, I mean I don't blame him for doing this with the current situation.

He does only have himself to blame for creating this situation. A 6 year deal is crazy. Even if we were a top team under poch at the time, football changes quickly and he's now stuck.

Still on his summer holidays, Corfu ain't it, has Grealish returned for Villa?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, reported back yesterday.

posted on 2/8/21

Was there even a bid for him.
Both clubs denied that there was one.
Why is he throwing a strop if there has not been a bid?
Grealish is citehs priority signing it seems. I Kane wants a move he should get his agent to get clubs interested in him.

There may not be an official bid, but I'm sure negotiations are ongoing everyday and progress is likely to have stalled by now. I can understand his frustration, if he wants to move, let him move.

posted on 2/8/21

Even if he's being badly advised he will go down in a lot of fans eyes. It's a bad decision and any respect that Kane has earned will be lost in an instant. It's a shame, but that's football. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, we don't need this hanging over the club. It looks like the Romero deal is nearing completion and all our focus should be on a new era at Spurs. Lets hope a club makes a serious bid. It couldn't be clearer where Kane stands now.

I can't understand why a club would want to keep hold of him if you're just holding him against his will now. Just cut ties, get your money for him, be it £100m and just move on and find other targets to replace him with. Spurs are just giving themselves a bigger headache keeping players around who would rather be elsewhere.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is spot on.

Harry is a world class player. He wants to be in a team with ambition and success. For whatever reason, we haven't provided that and you can't blame him for wanting out.

Levy just needs to accept that and take some money and reinvest. it's the only way that this ends positively.

Is it possible his in isolation due to his holiday or that his showing symptoms so is getting tested?

Fack him.

Lost all respect for him now.

He is taking the easy route to easy medals.

He`ll never be a Spurs legend, just another player.

Sadly, this is what football has come to.

ENIC are the ones to blame though, their fault 100%.

I imagine the club (or Kane himself) would have put the record straight fairly soon after it was being reported if that was the case. You never know though.

This is rubbish. Need to send a message to the rich clubs that we do not let our prize assets leave on the cheap. If he had a year left on this deal then £100m would be acceptable.

We are talking about a club who have oil money and shed loads of it. Feck Man City. Feck want Kane wants when he has 3 years left. Contracts mean something.

If you want the league's top scorer and assists you have to pay the fee when he has three years left.

Glad some of you softies are not running the club.

Is £100m really "cheap" though? I'm certain you would be able to invest that money into getting enough players through the door to fill out your squad.

Tomiyashu at ~£18m and Romano at £47m takes you to £65m. I'm sure you could find a decent CF at £35m + whatever else you have in the kitty.

Yes you can try and rinse City dry if you wish, but then you don't get your cash to reinvest into the squad which you need and you get to keep a player that doesn't want to be there, if they pull out of the deal. That sounds like a Spurs thing to do.

Why sell Kane for £100 million now when we could get that easily next summer or the summer after.

With his goals it gives us a chance of a CL position with a better defense, we would be better off keeping him. Also having one of the best strikers in the world helps with sponsorship deals across the board.

I read he's facked Lewis off and I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis tells Levy he's not going anywhere and will cover any lost money. Lewis seems like the type of caaant that would do that.

Why would anybody spend £100m+ on Kane next season when Haaland would be available for £70m?

Treat him the same way as Rose was and let him rot in the reserves. He will lose all respect and it proves he hasn't got a lot between the ears if he thinks this will get him what he wants.

Grealish scored 6 goals last season and is valued at £100m. Of course £100m is cheap for Kane. He has 3 years left on his conrract.

It’s ridiculously cheap and we all know that quite rightly Levy won’t entertain it.

We’ve been here before many times - Modric, Berbatov, Keane, Bale. We will get top dollar, £150m + or he will be sat in the reserves until he sorts himself out. With Modric we refused to sell him to Chelsea for £25m, made him play another season and then flogged him to Real Madrid for £25m the following summer - that was preferable to us.

As I say, the more you put your price up, the more you risk losing the deal. As much as clubs wouldn't usually complain about keeping a player of Kane's ability at the club, why bother when he doesn't want to be there.

Take £100m, or push it to £120m and then reinvest. No point pushing City for more if they aren't willing to pay it, they are pretty shrewd operators themselves despite the money they have.
