Simon Stone is really going all out with this. Probably the 4 or 5 the specific article from him.

This one really does smack of desperation. Kane not turning up this morning could literally mean anything.

Seems to me the media will not leave this alone u til they get their way and Kane leaves.

As a story, personally, I no longer have the remotest interest or energy to open the article up and read it.

While on the subject, does anyone know what it is with the media hatred towards Spurs ?

Has been actively happening for a couple of years now, and there must be a reason why.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Genuinely, it's all made up in your head.

Here is my take. The media does not hate but they wanted us to do well. Bad decisions and the bottle job tag have stuck and is correct. We show no ambition on the pitch so they treat us like a small club and rightly so.

The Kane brothers coming across as a right pair of knuckleheads in this saga. He should have gotten a proper agent
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. If they had a gentleman's agreement you cannot blame them for acting the way they are. Other plauers have done the same. It's normal really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
im talking about the timing of the neville interview. the leak to the sun, and now the advice to skip training. oh, and the dumb 6 year contract.

gentlemans agreement would have surely been that if an acceptable offer comes in then we sell.

have city actually even made an official bid yet?

£100m by all accounts. You have try a low ball offer. No point coming in high..

Yep, the way things are at the moment I wouldn’t be surprised to see it going this way. His mental health is suffering, being held against his will, blah, blah, blah.

It’s as if people feelings over rule their contractual obligations.

It’s disrespectful IMO. Grealish is training, Romero is training why shouldn’t Kane?

He’s likely still getting paid by us and should be doing his job

Kane is the one engineering this. There were reports two weeks ago he wouldn't turn up for training, and look what has happened today.

The bloke is putting his desire to win cheap and hollow medals before Spurs, he is trying to get us to fold so he gets what he wants and has been promised by £ity. His brother and the media have had plenty of blame, but Kane is the driving force behind every part of this saga.

He may have done legendary things on the pitch for Spurs while he has been here, but these actions mean he is no legend. The club and fans should be disgusted by his actions, no true legend shiets on his boyhood club in this way.

I hope Levy rinses those oil money doped caaants for more than £150m, and I hope Kane goes on to win fack all.

Cheap and hollow trophies

Still better than zero trophies!

I honestly don't blame him for wanting to leave. Missing training is hardly the end of the World.

yeah you dont do this to your boyhood club. especially when its your fault for signing 6 years. sign 4 years and he would have 1 year left and would definately be getting his move for about 65m probably

Not to go all A.I. on it all - but it’s just practice.

I’d care a lot more if this was a continual issue, or he missed a game or whatever. However it’s a bloke who has literally given his all to the club, sacrificed his body, brought us brilliant consistency and is coming back off another ‘nearly’ moment. I don’t mind him having a day off for whatever reason it may be.

As I say, the more you put your price up, the more you risk losing the deal. As much as clubs wouldn't usually complain about keeping a player of Kane's ability at the club, why bother when he doesn't want to be there.

Take £100m, or push it to £120m and then reinvest. No point pushing City for more if they aren't willing to pay it, they are pretty shrewd operators themselves despite the money they have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would rather lose the deal and keep Kane for another season. He will get over it. He is a big boy and will eventually want to bang in goals again. He can go next season for £100m.when he is 29.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no guarantee you will get £100m for him next season though. I don't know whether you think Kane leaving the club at whatever price is a shoe-in or not, but it's far from that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Next season the big clubs will be richer after fans are allowed back in. Utd, Real. Barca , Juve plus City will all be back on track. The market for Kane will widen. If he bangs in another 25 goals plus assists £100m is still a snip.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the guarantee that one of those clubs will buy him though at £100m?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is none. If they don't then he stays for another season with 2 yrs remaining lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As I have said previously, you're just adding to your issues of a fractured dressing room then because you have players at your club who either want to move, don't want to be there or both. Kane, Aurier, Alli etc are just the one's I can think of.

A day off? Literally just had a 3 week holiday.

He’s contracted to the club and as such should be doing what the club tell him.

It’s not like city have even got a bid on the table iirc

Also it’s not just practice it’s the start of getting a ready for the season and we know it takes Kane ages to get up to speed normally.

Really don’t understand his mind set to do it. Would it really been hard to turn up do the tests and go home.

Zaha hands in a transfer request after number 2 he has and he still performs at a high level. Probably one of the thickest footballers in the league. Kane will be fine. He isa big boy and still loves the club.

This is all academic, we will be charging £150m plus regardless of whether City want to pay it or not. £150m this year or £100m next.

£150m means we can improve the side, £100m likely means we won’t. Vlahovic and Romero will cost us £100m and we want another top CB plus Ings, so £150m will be necessary alongside the money we have already raised and spent.

The only compromise would be is Silva or Foden wanted to come to Spurs (zero chance) otherwise it will be cash

He is laying down his marker and showing the club he is serious. If he turns up then it shows he is a walk over.

Put yourself in his shoes. He wants to win trophies. End of.
