Why should one of the best players in the World stick around at a club that continually fails to show any real ambition?

Levy was right with Modric to tell CFC to feck off, and we sold him for less to Madrid. He should do the same with City. If Kane goes to them then they will be strengthened but we need to at least try to weaken then by blowing their transfer budget, upsetting their FFP book fiddling or forcing them to sell players to fund it. Isn't City's record signing something like 60 odd million? Like it or not, they have got their spending right and their management right. Of course nobody can say that money hasn't given them success, it has. But they spent about the same on De Bruyne as Spurs did on N'Dombele. They spent the same on Laporte as Spurs did on Sanchez. Spurs and Arsenal are well run clubs and it must hurt that the City and Chelsea way has restricted them, but lets not pretend it is only money. Spurs have spent money, but not got their big signings right nearly enough.

It's very easy to get your spending right when you buy 2 £50m players for every position. They spend about £150m every season for 10 years. They haven't been mugged off by anyone, like Utd are, but it's about time they were. They also haven't bought anyone in the class of Kane before (meaning that typically they buy a bit younger rather than peak world class player)

The only thing now is what is best for Spurs not Kane. And that would be selling him for something north of £160 million.

Isn't City's record signing something like 60 odd million? Like it or not, they have got their spending right and their management right. Of course nobody can say that money hasn't given them success, it has. But they spent about the same on De Bruyne as Spurs did on N'Dombele. They spent the same on Laporte as Spurs did on Sanchez. Spurs and Arsenal are well run clubs and it must hurt that the City and Chelsea way has restricted them, but lets not pretend it is only money. Spurs have spent money, but not got their big signings right nearly enough.

It's very easy to get your spending right when you buy 2 £50m players for every position. They spend about £150m every season for 10 years. They haven't been mugged off by anyone, like Utd are, but it's about time they were. They also haven't bought anyone in the class of Kane before (meaning that typically they buy a bit younger rather than peak world class player)
