Romero - DONE!

Your defence will be well protected by the midfield under Nuno as well so you won't be conceding a whole lot of goals.

The key in all this is the way Paratici operates, he targets several key players in the same position which gives him back up options if his first choice falls through.

It is a simple and effective methodology which should benefit us as a club going forward👍

Ok

So Romero would be great... any chance that we are after Milenkovic... ?.....he is very similar to Vidic, apparently..

Got to be the better option than the others mentioned...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Milenkovic is vastly overrated, not up to top 4 level. Romero is the very best CB Spurs can attract currently, he is top drawer.

Would love to partner him with Kounde or Lacroix. Milenkovic can go to West Ham - who are all over him.

Looks like Nuno might go 4 at the back with us rather than the 5 he used at Wolves. I think he might be a bit more open than usual.

He started trying it with us but we just didn't have the players for it. Hope he does well with you guys, he is a good man.

Two problems resolved in one go:

1.Kane to City ( at last don't then need to read about this anymore particularly Simon Stone who will then have to go away and make something else up ) and get ride of a dressing room disruption.

2. Include La Porte in the deal, thereby giving us that much needed second quality CB. Added bonus of then never seeing Dier or Sanchez in our back 4 again.

Sorted. Just need offload Dier, Winks and Sissoco and bring in one quality CM, plus replace Kane with a 20 goal a season CF, and we are more or less sorted, with the books more or less balanced.

Laporte won’t want to move to Spurs, other than that I agree with all the rest. Finding a 20 goal a season striker will be a walk in the park of course with Levy offering £5m and a 2 for 1 voucher on the skywalk

after reading all the doom and gloom on here i was starting to think spurs would drop into the bottom half.
this is a good signing and if you can unload kane you'll be almost back to the poch years.
should only need a goal to win most games.

posted on 3/8/21

I actually think spurs should cash in on kane too. Offer barca 40 mill for griezman and go pacey up top. Plenty of players about for dirt cheap atm and the markets dead. Hate to say it but levy with a chunk of change at deadline week and he could actually pull some proper deals off with big clubs desperate for $

Greizman's wages are insane. I get what you're saying but we can just play Son up front and achieve the same thing.

Actually no they don’t, he actually puts bids in for his multiple targets whereas others may look but rarely bid.

Unfortunately I agree with you, although he has gone on record as saying he is not happy loosing his place to Stones. With the 20 goal a season guy, yes if Levy does his usual scrooge thing then yeah difficult. But if he can squeeze City for anywhere near 140/150m, then surely dropping 40m on a proven striker should be financially possible. I love Kane, but his time has come. Too much silly money to turn down for a 28 year old with dodgy ankles, and a chance to use that money ( wisely ) to really build the team back up.

I would have preferred Kane stayed, but now he is trying to engineer a move away, I have zero time for him, and Spurs should just cash in. If City come in with the required £160 million plus, then Spurs should take it. If not Kane stays, but I will not be happy seeing him in a Spurs shirt, and I suspect lots of other Spurs supporters will not either.

Straight up cash for Kane nothing else.

"This is a DONE deal after Atalanta accepted a €55m bid and the player pushed for a move to Spurs."

So Spurs fans have NO problem when a player pushes for a move to their team BUT push for a move away and the player is castigated and called all sorts of traitorous names.

Talk about double standards.

We didnt make him push for a move and to be fair we have also had to up our offer to get the deal done. We're just 5m euro under their original asking price.

No one is criticising Kane for wanting away, just not turning up to do the job he is paid £250k a week to do.

Now if City offered £135m and Kane handed in a request, then we'd have a decision to make

That would be easy. No deal. City would have to start their bidding at close to £160 million, for Levy to even consider selling.
