Kolarov and Yaya get a lot of stick but those stats show how useful they are.

posted on 1/10/11

Yeah looks like Kolarov was our best defender today

posted on 1/10/11

Well i was impressed with Kolarov today, thought he had a good game

Is bobby manc gonna fire his son out for refusing to come on as a sub for the reserve team?
Thought not!

Mourinho

What relevance does your comment have to this article? You are just showing yourself up as being a bit thick

posted on 1/10/11

well, he'd have a hard time firing him as he isn't a City player, he plays for some Italian semi-pro outfit and was doing some pre-season work with City to get fit for the new season.
Kinda hard to sack someone who doesn't work for you, isn't it you gonad.

this is not a continuation of the Tevez thing as i'm fed up of it. But although he was our top goalscorer last year, does anyone think, as i do, that we are scoring more goals this season because the missing link is not in our team and we are passing the ball to players who can score, instead of his going alone all the time

posted on 1/10/11

Tevez always gave 100% for us, it's a shame it's ended like this but everything ends at some point.
When he played, it was kind of like the school team when you've got one player that takes every free kick, penalty, and corner and gets to be captain. The whole team was based around getting the best out of him.
Now, there's more of a balance and you can't stop us scoring simply by nullifying Tevez.
We may not have any single player who scores as many as he did last season, but I reckon we'll score more as a team than we did.

FFS, no more Tevez talk.

Mourinho, you're fired.

I am not knocking his 100% effort just his selfishness at times when players were in a better position

I agree Boris, fed up of it, it was just a reflection

Footnote to the Tevez saga, I've read that they've given his number 32 squad number to Pantilimon, I'm glad they're twisting the knife.

Well played today lads. The one plus to our latest humiliation is at least it keeps you up with bar steward united.

if that other lot had not have scored their 88th minute second goal, we would be top of the league and for the next 2 weeks, we could of lauded it over everybody else... [ C comes before U ]

and with them playing at Anfield next game while we are at home to the unbeaten and draw specialists Villa, that weekend could of been even more interesting...

we are only 7 games in, but it feels like March already with every game taking on an importantance normally kept to the business end of the season when we are looking at 17th not 1st.

Yesterdays game, i listened to radio Manchester and after a sleepy 1st half, it all changed when Nasri came on and started moving around with the ball...we started to play and it woke me up...
Blackburn have a hard season ahead, and I wish them well, and with a team visit to india this week, i think you fans have a lot to complain about, and if anyone gets Delhi -Belly , then even more so...........

Hyde - the same thought crossed my mind yesterday. Was egging City on to get a 4th (or even better, for Norwich to equalise). We did our bit - scoring in the 87th minute.

Unfortunately United got their second at the same time.

It's a real shame that we dropped those two points away at Fulham. But then, that's the only blot on our league season so far - so we can't be too hard on the lads!

Fact is, United have won 8-2 and 5-0 this season. The fact we're only one goal behind on GD is pretty good going. It must be disheartening for the chasing pack when they look at those goal difference figures.

Other than City and United, only two teams have managed to score 10 goals or more so far - Chelsea with 12, and Liverpool with 10. Whereas City and United have both scored 20 plus.

I think what is also encouraging is that we've played 4 games away, while United have played 3. And of course we are yet to concede at home.

It's a shame we have to wait a fortnight for the next round of games but at least it gives Kun and NDJ time to recover.

What is interesting is the fact that for the first time this season, United KO before us so events at Anfield will indicate exactly what we need to do against Villa.

Well we beat Tottenham Arsenal Chelsea in our first 3 home games.

The league table shows us that Liverpool and Newcastle are the teams to beat at the moment.

If Tottenham win there next 2 games they could go 3rd. Newcastle could esaily have lost to QPR and wolves deserved to win yesterday. Even pardew said they could have lost.

Good point.

Villa may actually prove to be a tougher nut to crack than Everton were, but we should have enough to overcome them. As for Liverpool-United, don't know what to make of that game. Obviously a United defeat would be good for us, but then United's next game after Liverpool is against us, and it's rare that United lose two on the bounce.

And then, of course, Liverpool are one of our rivals for a top four place. So any top four rival losing can be said to be good for us, even if they do lose against United.

Positives either way I guess. In that respect, the Liverpool-United game ending in a draw could well be the best result for us.

If United do beat Liverpool though, then all we need against Villa is to score one more and win by a one-goal better margin than United. Then we'll be top going into the derby.

United could easily have lost/drawn to WBA, Chelsea and Norwich, but they didn't.

Man utd should have scored 8 against chelsea. Hernandez first half in on goal chests it down but hits his knee as he shapes to shoot. Hernandez misses the ball from a pullback.

2nd half nani rattles the bar rooney misses penalty rooney misses from 3yds off the post hernandez should get penalty for cole fouling, Berbatov open goal virtually but hits it to cole with no power on the line.

You would expect at least 5 goals from these positions. Funnily enough we had more chances easier second half but scored 0.

West brom I agree a draw was about right but against Norwich we deserved to win. Rooney should have scored 4 in last 20 minutes alone. Stoke we should have won 3 mins hernandez fouled pen and red card not given. Nani and giggs miss sitters in that game.
