Net spend doesn't really mean anything.

Who cares Boris?

Do you want to count overall EPL trophies and European cups too?

It could get messy

Bozo is just bitter Ronnie chose Utd over City!

And before you say Bozo, yes we've not been great since SAF retired.

But over the last 4 years our trophy count was not zero but 2.

Which 2?

Boris, was your money generated by your own club?

Given arsenal have spent a shed load for one arteta fa cup the above stats are a bit misleading.

This stuff is all about stability and building.

City are stable and keeping things going so are bound to win more until pep goes.

Utd have bought well in recent windows and allowed ogs mess around and hold them back so we will see if it all works out or not. They should be the coming team.

Lfc built the side and have left it so got the trophies out of the stability and building but are frankly likely on the slide.

Chelsea throw all that out the window and just spend and spend and chop and change until something sticks.

To be fair finishing seventh twice and a QF of Europe is the equivalent of trophies given how diabolical we have been for decades.

Glory Hunter?

There's only about 4 of you on the United board who are actually from Manchester.

Fekin plastics.

Such bitterness & bertieness on show

City have been self-sufficent for that 5 seasons, we're approaching a point where we will have been profitable for more years than we made a loss.

Fill yer boots.

Not sure where those figures came from but transfer fees are very rarely paid in lump sum.

Net spend figures also fail to reflect the total amount payable. Wages and 'add ons' throughout the duration of the contract often cost clubs much more than the initial transfer fee.

Didn’t realise United have gone 4 seasons without winning anything.

Funnily enough the press started talking about Arsenal’s ‘trophy drought’ after about 3 seasons.

Curious.

You'll struggle to find a more ironic phenomenon in football than a Man United fan throwing around the term gloryhunter

How much money is required just to stay in the prem?

If you look at brighton, west ham etc etc everton. They all spend a lot. 17th is as big a prize for some as the fa cup for arsenal.

Sadly...

To be fair to you. 196mil over 5 years to be in the prem and earn 100mil a year extra or whatever it is seems good business to me.

What is curious about it other than you being a melt and having to change your narrative?

Major trophies are the premier league and champions league, FA cup is a nice icing on the cake if you're winnng the former, the rest are tin pot.

It's getting close to ten years since we last won a big trophy. I don't even know who to blame. It isn't the owners, because we have spent as much, and more than most in that time.

Just unfortunate with managers I guess. I think the team is primed now for a world class manager to come in, and transform us like Tuchel did with Chelsea.

What these figures show is that no matter how much is or isnt spent on players, the manager plays a HUGE part in any success.

Think you need to look up the word ‘narrative’.

Maybe with a cup of camomile tea.

You know, to help you unwind.

Doris, if city fail to win the CL anytime soon with the Mansour football project be deemed a failure?????

Is that Boris chap OK? All I ever see him doing is desperately seeking some sort of approval from other fans.

You've had a very successful period, well done.

Spurs also won nothing, so United and Spurs both paid an infinite amount for no trophies.

United = Spurs
Spurs = United
