Very underrated part of that 07/08 team was Brown.

This is not the time for it but I'm sure it'd make an interesting article where we select our best United XI where we discount our best XI, and second best XI, and do a best of the rest. I'm sure it would still be a cracking team. Wes would be in with a shout of making one of those teams certainly.

Yeah, but I always saw him as more of a makeshift right back - although he did extremely well there. We ended up not missing Nev at all that season.
In the early 2000s I recall him being more of a CB, but if I remember correctly he was unlucky enough to do his knee ligaments twice in about 3 years.
Wes Brown must be good because South Park predicted that all humans in the future will look exactly like him.
