Americans are atrocious

I'm happy that someone from the "next gen" has beaten Djokovic. He's practically untouchable at the Australian open and wimbledon and with him winning the French too, it's good that someone's able to combat him at the US open at least.

Actually booing him during his serve, wild animals are more civilised than americans.

It was a disgraceful crowd but it's not "Americans" per se, just as the scenes around Wembley for the Euros final don't represent 'the English' as a whole. Certain activities in certain places develop their specific sub-culture. If you go to a baseball match in the US the atmosphere is friendly and doesn't have the edge associated with football matches in England. There's an etiquette associated with tennis around most of the world, because tennis isn't tribal the way team sports are, which doesn't seem to apply at the US Open. Really awful fans, who seem to think they've come to watch Wrestlemania, but they disgrace themselves and the US Open rather than NYC or the US as a whole.

I heard that it wasn't actually American fans, it was English fans who had broken into the stadium without a ticket.

Australian open will be competitive. Will be interesting. Medvedev took a big leap now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you're right, it could set Medvedev in the right direction, but I still think Djokovic is untouchable at the aussie open.

Crowds that don’t shut up whilst a player is serving (especially on critical points) are pathetic and if anyone caught should be quietly ejected. These morons seem to be allowed to ruin major sporting events without any repercussions and as a result will continue to act in this deplorable manner.
