Biggest game of the season?

Spurs really don't look better than you right now.

Agree it's a massive game Dungeon.

Don't agree with your downbeat assessment of the PL season so far.

I agree we are at a crossroads, all indications are that we on for an average Season and the best times are behind us.

The more complete squad we have, the more average, why? You say! well we overperformed in adversity mostly because players in the background stood up to be counted but because BR was forced to play different tactics and set ups by the players available to him.

Ian and Vardy up front as one point in question, now he has his favourites available we can go back to very conservative and almost negative play and play ‘proper’ possession based Football from the back like all the other big teams.

I hope for more but don’t have much confidence we’ll be that much higher than about 8-9th atm.

I’m not as negative on our Premier League hopes, but agree that the top 4 is off limits for the chasing pack this season.

So if it’s champions league qualification we’re after, it is the biggest game. But to win the Europa League would take a mammoth effort. Don’t underestimate how hard it is to win a knockout competition. I mean, we’ve just won the FA Cup at the 100th time of asking (can’t be bothered to Google the first fa cup year).

So for me the biggest game is Brighton. Win that comfortably abs we can challenge for the top 6 again and look to be beating Everton and Spurs along the way. Lose that and we could be battling with Arsenal for a top 10 finish.

Tomorrow is important. Brighton is importanter.

40 points.

Then worry about what else we might get.

Brendan has done astonishingly well so far - last year was absolutely outstanding given the list of injuries we suffered, so it will be interesting to see how we fare this year.

For me the next vital game is unquestionably Brighton rather than Napoli. We do not want to be struggling in the league in the run up to Christmas and wondering if Top is going to panic and fire Rodgers.

I think we’ve started each of the last two season with a dodgy spell, questions over our ability to challenge and mixed performances.

They turned out alright.

I think we grow in to a season and then fade away. We’re a grow and fade kind of team.

i think our transfer dealing have been poor having said that not getting cl leaves you with targets that are hoping someone with cl will come in for them ,then everyone is waiting for 1st and 2 nd targets.

and the pandemic along with injuries and playing twice a week levelled it out with the big teams last season,

now with a week between games and squads of 26 top players leaves us at a slight disadvantage
think we are looking at 5th 6th unless one of the big teams through a wobble

we also need to get a half descent defensive line as well,
you could see when evens came on the team picked up a bit
its all about confidence in the defence and at the moment that's not there ,

I’d like to see Soumare, Daka, and possibly Dewsbury -Hall, Lookman and Bertrand in the team tonight. Hopefully a strong back line as well.
A win by two or more goals, don’t want much, do I? 😉⚽️⚽️😆

For me:
Schmeichel
Ricardo, Evans, Soyuncu, Bertrand
Ndidi, Tielemans
Perez, Iheanacho, Barnes
Vardy

Then some changes in personnel (6 or 7 changes) for Brighton.

Castagne at RB and push Ricardo forwards instead of Perez, get some Pace down the flanks.

Excellent call

I'm just being realistic with Perez here. He's banned from the league for a while so he's surely going to play in this.
