- at least you’ve considered that getting match tickets for Liverpool is considerably difficult. However unless you’ve got a register of Liverpool match threads how can you say that with any surety? Do you keep that sharp an eye as to whom is on Liverpool match threads?

And just to add you seem to have leapt to the conclusion that I consider it to be a negative thing. I don’t at all, to reiterate that to me is part of the reason forums like this in the first place. Robbing for example lives close to me, I know he doesn’t get to many games if any. I’ve had some of my best conversations on here with him and consider him just as good a fan as anyone.

I’m fortunate to have the finances and an understanding wife which enables me to go to more or less every competitive City match but I’m no more of a fan than anyone else

To be honest, I’m not bothered by it either. I genuinely don’t care if anyone or everyone here doesn’t attend games.

If everyone felt this way, then this thread simply wouldn’t exist. If everyone felt this way, Pep wouldn’t have even made his (in my opinion) misguided comment.

What bugs me is the constant fascination people do have with City and the clubs attendances. People do have a strange fascination with attendances in this country, and more so capacity. It’s a strange kind of logic that saw City never receive any criticism for selling out Maine Road and it’s 35,000 capacity, yet receive criticism for having anything higher than 35,000 but below the current stadium capacity of 55,000.

My sons college (East Midlands, close to Nottingham) is still predominately Liverpool and United as the main teams.. Forest are third, but by quite a way still.

Chelsea, City and Spurs are all pretty level. He’s the only one that goes out of the city ones though.

I actually thought the attendance was pretty good last night 😊
I thought it would be far lower with at least one of the 3rd tiers empty

I’ve been to a few Spurs games as a neutral and there’s loads of tourists every time. Imagine it’s similar at the other London clubs

There are packages up north popular with Scandinavians, Anfield on the Saturday or Sunday, and then Old Trafford or the Etihad on the other day. I imagine they have all been on a waiting list since their forefathers were in longboats though…

I mentioned earlier it’s a very English phenomenon and not a good thing. As a fan, I ideally don’t want any game to sell out for obvious reasons.

Agree, it was much better than I was expecting. I’ve been completely messed around with tickets this year, five games and they’ve essentially disappeared. Took two hours to get through the other day and still didn’t get a decent answer.
