His overall game has been far better so far and long may it continue, was good to see the rest of the players letting him know what they thought at the end

De Gea only saves that because the guy hadn't kicked a football the entire match

Well De Gea has had very few things to do all season to be fair. He has had 5 important saves this season. One at Southamton, one at home to Newcastle, 3 against Wolves although 2 of them were right next to him. He hasn’t had much of a test to be fair so far. West Ham barely had a shot all game on goal and then he steps up and saves the pen. Must have been a strange game a spectator for most of the game and then asked to save a penalty at the end.

De Gea first save from a penalty in last 22 attempts in the league.

He was due a save one day. What is funny is Noble has an excellent penalty record and De Gea has like near the worst record at saving penalties of any regular goalkeeper.

Happy for DDG, hopefully this improves his confidence and the mistakes go out of his game as he gets older.

Henderson - sadly he let himself down last season when given a huge opportunity.

That Liverpool game at Old Trafford - he was shocking.

DDG is easily no.1

He was fantastic against Wolves.

Lol Henderson was way better than De Gea last season. I saw a stat Henderson was best goalkeeper in the league and De Gea was 26th best before that Liverpool game.

Much better keeper than Hendo when on form.

Lol De Gea isn’t anywhere near Henderson. Look at Sheffield United with Henderson and then with Ramsdale. Sheffield United conceded 13.04 goals less than expected with Henderson in goal and Henderson actually kept more clean sheets than De Gea in 19/20 season despite De Gea playing in a team that allowed fewer expected goals than the champions that season.

Henderson played 36 games and conceded 33 goals for Sheffield United and kept 13 clean sheets while De Gea played 38 games and conceded 36 goals and kept 13 clean sheets for Man Utd.

Sorry I meant had a better clean sheets to game record for Sheffield United and same clean sheets as De Gea. Last season Henderson was streets ahead of De Gea. Probably the biggest 2 differences between goalkeepers at a club since Romero vs De Gea.

Look at Salah's second goal against him at Old Trafford last season and tell me that's a good goalkeeper

Henderson is statistically has been like the best goalkeeper in the league for 2 seasons running.

I think there was a stat that since Ole took the job De Gea has made the most errors leading to goals against us lol. He is main reason we have so few clean sheets. You can’t say he plays in a bad defensive side as the stats show we are best defensive side at allowing opposition less than 1 expected goal hence why we are on such a long unbeaten away run.

He is but Hafi in full meltdown since that penalty save

Okay can you explain to me how Henderson kept as many clean sheets as De Gea and had better goals conceded to games ratio than De Gea in 19/20 season?

Also in same side again had much better stats than De Gea in 2020/21 season?

Henderson is a lot better shot stopper than De Gea.

FFS plumpy get over it.

United won and you don't like that. We get it.

I have no idea if you even like football and certainly which team you support if you do, but you are getting very tedious with your anti-united agenda.

I have no idea why Admin tolerates you on this United board because all you do is try and WUM United supporters. I can only suppose you create traffic on this website for the Admins of which is seems they are very grateful for.

De gea slowly regaining his form

Henderson ain't getting a look in this season

posted on 19/9/21

Glad to see he’s regained some of his form that we were used to seeing because he’s the best keeper in Europe when he’s in that groove, but the season is still young and Hendo’s return is just round the corner too. Time for him to prove he still has a future here.

Henderson last season for Man Utd had a 76% save percentage in the league. De Gea managed 67.1% which was his worst season at Man Utd. What was interesting was we had a poor points per game record when De Gea played while with Henderson we had easily title winning form. Just shows you how important a top goalkeeper is.

Missed the game but assuming we have all agreed that De Gea will lead us to the title this year.

Technically speaking if you count when De Gea went off at Southampton last season De Gea record would have been 11 wins 9 draws 6 losses instead of 12 wins 9 draws 5 losses while Henderson would have been 10 wins 2 draws and 1 loss instead of 9 wins 2 draw 1 loss. If De Gea was as good as Henderson last season we probably would have ran Man City close. Perfect example Everton last season we played them 3x and the only clean sheet we managed was with Henderson in goal. De Gea conceded from all 4 shots on target.
