We would need to finish on around 90 points this season to win the title because Liverpool, Chelsea and City will all push each other, unless one gets a ridiculous amount of injuries like Liverpool last year.

No team coached by Ole is finishing on 90 points.

So no, we aren't going to win the league, we lack the central midfield and coach/play style whatever you want to call it to dominate games every week.

You playing truant from school again?

Yes. Along with everyone else who has replied to this article and said we aren't good enough to win the title.

You must be fuming we won yesterday as most have acknowledged that whilst we may still fall short of the titke, we expect and will want a title challenge as minimum.

It isn't petulant... to finish on around 90 points, you need a great team an a great manager.

Ole isn't close to being a great manager.

Am I missing something?

Lets make a bet, I say we won't finish on 90 points. You presumably think we will it my comment is so outrageous.

You change your name to 'Ron knows best' if I am right

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ive not said what we will or wont finish on. Im not able to see into the future. What ive said is that we need to be challenging to the end this season.👍

Ole isn't close to being a great manager - asidefro. Culer, who else has said this?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't have to see into the future.

West Ham aren't going to win the league, or finish on 80 points. I don't need to see into the future to say that.

A team managed by Ole isn't going to finish on 90 points or win the league this year, again, I don't see to know next weeks lottery numbers to make that comment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strange comment considering the same man and his team sit at the top of the league on the same number of points as two of the teams youd happily back just to gwt one over in the team u 'support'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes its almost as though we are still in September...

I could genuinely see us getting over 80 points. Maybe 84/85. That COULD win the title. But I think at least one of Liverpool, City or Chelsea will hit 90

We have a title winning attack and a very capable defense. That is embedded with a mid table level midfield.
If we are within 5 points off the top by January and if we go into the market for a Kante type midfielder I can see us going all the way. If we don't bolster our midfield, 4th is the best we can do. However the biggest bottleneck is our manager.

posted on 20/9/21

If we can get Sancho firing and bring a fit Rashford and Cavani back into the mix with what we already have of course we can win it, people are bigging up Chelsea too much they have it all to prove in the prem just as much as we do, Pool and City have previous on the 90+ points front but the gap has closed with the chasing pack considerably.

To win it though we have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot with careless passing on the edge of our and the oppositions box we are definitely the weakest of the bunch in this respect and if not rectified it will cost us key points , we all know Fred is a killer for this but Maguire and Bruno had the bug as well yesterday, we have find more discipline in our play.

Greenwood may, if he gets enough games, but I can only see Ronaldo getting double figures in the league from your forward options.

You do have goals in Bruno and Pogba though so it's possible.

Cavani had 17 goals last season and he was only a guaranteed starter after December. We have Greenwood, Cavani, Ronaldo, Lingard, Rashford, Sancho, Bruno all capable of hitting 10 league goals. Martial too if he bothers to turn up but he won't.
Sancho for me is the most important signing of the summer. If he hits his stride which he hasn't I can see us scoring 100 goals.

I can not see us winning the title. I think we will be around 8- 10 points short.

If Ole was to win the title with McFred or any combo with Pogba in a two man midfield he will need to be a managerial genius. Which he isn’t.

Yes but they're not all going to play are they. So you've got a few players who may, if they played all season, get about 15 league goals max.

Cavani got about 12 league goals last year anyway.

Sancho looks a shadow of himself so far.

Either way you can't put them all on the pitch, which then doesn't help with fluidity, which then leads to players getting miffed about playing when their is a world cup around the corner.

Who know, maybe they'll all be banging in goals all the time but so far it does not look like it.

If I were to put money on it now though I'd say it would be on Chelsea. If we can get through to the start of December within 3 points of top though we've got a very nice run of games for a month or so after than and over a busy Christmas period out attacking strength may reap some rewards.

Don't the United board proud themselves on being able to take it? Getting more like the Arsenal board.

Must be a correlation between years in the wilderness and softness.

I had us down to win the League, before the season started.
My predictions were -
UTD- Liverpool - Chelsea - City

In a very close race. Maybe final day madness.

As for the Cups, I want us to win the league more than anything, but he has a squad capable of getting to Cup Finals.
Plus, I don’t buy into this sacrificing one for the other… We’re Man Utd. Go for it All or Die Hard trying.

Agree on our season, between Oct 24th - end of Nov we have a horrible run of fixtures.

I hope the likes of Sancho, AWB and Fred can remember how to play football.

Alright, 52?

If that number is indeed your year of birth, how well do you remember the European Cup title in '68? You'd have been 18 at the time, so I'm guessing it left a mark.

Would you sooner have preferred to pip City to the league title that season than lift ol' Big Ears?
