I rate Kane, the opposition have to adjust their set-up because of his quality. Which obviously impacts his performance.

Though an unpopular opinion, I really rate Rashford too.

I like Rashford!

I also like him as a 9 which many don't.

Yeah certainly not saying it cant work but it almost seems like an albatross around the neck. Kane HAS to start and I'm not sure that's always the best option.

I don't think DCL is a very good footballer, but he's got an insane spring and he loves it... he seems the go to though. Abraham similar. None run the channels particularly and I reckon England could do with a bit more movement between positions at times as we have such versatile players available.

I don’t think you’d get that with Greenwood and Rashford as a cf, they want to get on the ball and have often been isolated when playing in the middle. It’s why they have played at their best out wide where there’s more space.

Grealish was too creative for Southgate's liking, that's why he was hooked and people like his lovechild Mount get left on.

Still the quality player we all thought would cost £125m last summer.

I’m glad Mason Mount has got himself a little hobby he enjoys, playing football for England.

Does anyone know what his job is though?

I'm not doubting his ability, just whether he compliments our other players because I really don't think he does.

The question is whether a lesser striker would compliment the team enough to justify dropping Kane? Given how few goals we score from midfield, I’d suggest the answer is probably no.

If it were club level I think there’s more of an argument for it. But I don’t think you’ll find many international teams that will drop their most important players to try and create a more balanced and complimentary team, because it usually doesn’t end up being that anyway.

It’s why Sterling and Kane have to play. They deliver where others don’t.

My issue with Kane at the moment is how deep he keeps dropping, he is a world class striker but seems frustrated that he is not De Bruyne instead.

At Spurs he has Son who does loads of running for him and helps create the space - England generally lack that.

Think he might have his lowest ever goal haul this season - just seems distracted from the summer

You'd think you'd play players who work with others, you know...form a team rather than throw a load of players in. Quick players either side of Kane, full backs who get forward and are good crossers, midfielders to cover the full backs(and the weak link of the team, central defence) and one to make runs past Kane. Or maybe that's too simple. It's not like England don't have the players to do this.

You've got TAA and Shaw as full backs, a load of options for the holding roles in midfield, Henderson, Rice, Phillips, even Ward Prowse. A load of options for the player linking and getting past Kane in Mount, Grealish, Foden, amongst others. This can even be tweaked to be more adventurous against certain teams. Players right and left who are quick and can get in with Kane's aerial ability, hold up and passing, like Sterling, Sancho, Greenwood, Rushford etc.

It seems as you move through the team, players are not suited to playing in a way others are.

Very overrated player in my opinion. On his day he can look great but has far too many nothing games and man does he cheat, comfortably the worst in the prem for it.

Would add though that career wise he is now suffering for being at Spurs, he really really needs to get out of there.

posted on 12/10/21

We’d solve a lot of problems if TAA could actually perform for England.

You obviously haven't watched much of Jimenez. But yeah, but for his injury he would and should have earned a move in the summer. Quite likely he would have replaced Kane if he left.

On the contrary, you appear incredibly bitter towards Kane and Spurs Why do Wolves fans feel this way?

Yawn. Yet another bitter little person, who supports a team totally irrelevant to Spurs, yet has a negative opinion the same as all the others.
Again.........yawn.

Do we? I have just said our best striker for decades would and probably should have moved to Spurs but for injury. Maybe I don't understand the meaning of bitter?

Thick Spurs fans defending a flat track bully who hates playing for them and went on strike to try and force a move away! 😂

Complete waste of a shirt again last night. Ankles made of Plumbers Mate putty. Two blatant dives in the box so should have been sent off. Chance from six yards out put into Row Z. 😂

StrikeMug 😂

Kane can’t play the ball in tight spaces with his back to goal and bring others into play, he repeatedly tries to draw contact from the defender and collapse like he’s been shot.

He doesn’t have the pace to play on the shoulder of the last defender and make runs in behind, similar to what Vardy would offer us.

So he can’t play the ball standing still, and he can’t make forward runs, he literally has no other option than to come deep and waste a shirt in the midfield areas!

StrikeMug mistakes this for him thinking he’s KDB 😂
