"Let's hope Doyley finds his shooting boots on Saturday!"
As well as Dapo,Sarce, Chunga, and Bako and any others that get a chance of scoring.

Welcome to the board.

Walkden Wilf, You are free to post and start a new thread whenever you want to, but because we are a very small group of posters on this board we tend to just have one inclusive thread for each game and carry it on to the next game. It seems to work but it's entirely up to you.

I hope that you enjoy your time on the forum.

Hi Superwhite as you know I am new to the website . what do you mean by one inclusive thread ? I will comply once I understand.

Well, it means that we don't normally create new threads on any topic. We use the match thread to post our comments on any subject under the banner of the match thread. I suppose the reason for that is that we have a very small number of members on the forum and it seems pointless to have a single thread that might attract two or three comments.

However, if you feel strongly that a certain topic deserves its own thread, there are no hard rules but normally we don't see the need for us to do that.

Also, if you miss something on the thread it's on the same page so you can look back at other postings.

You know how good my memory is, so it's useful for me to have a look back at what has been said. I hope that explains it for you.

Just to add to that, take a look at the match thread for the Sheffield Wednesday game. You will see what I mean.

A welcome new additon to the gang.

I'll echo the above comments and there did used to be a load of new threads but we had more active users and actually more news to comment on to get a decent amount of comments going prior to a game.

There was also some hillarious fella* who did a brilliant parody of the antics of several past chairmen, tea ladies, and car park attendants. Obviously as we have got more and more normal this isn't really required anymore.

Oh and don't worry if you don't understand half of what I post, there's life out there somewhere that understands me.

I just love that woman. She has to be one of the best owners of a football club if not the best.

We fell into the Co-Op Divvy when she and the team rescued us.

Good to have someone new aboard. The only rule is keep posting. Use this as the match thread? Only thing is I can't delete any posts that occasionally may need deleting. Up to you chaps.

Benny I'd start tomorrow as usual with a live match thread so Wilf will get the hang of it. We'll all end up confused if we change to much at our ages, shame we can't edit or move these comments into it.

Talking of changes those sample premium pages over at the Ben don't appear to be up to much to me. I think I'll stick as I am, as my grandad once said you'll not get rich by giving it away I'll not be paying extra over there to prop up a rag.

So we have had a couple of injuries to the squad whilst training. Harry Brockbank is set to play tomorrow against Wigan. Whether he will start or come off the bench remains to be seen. Although the way Evatt put it, he could start.

Gethin Jones is suspended and also has an injury so he could be out longer than expected.

I think we needed a couple of changes so we will wait and see who the other two are who are taking up the beds in the sick bay.

We are ball number 4 in Sundays FA Cup draw.
It's probably to early to say 4 is my lucky number, I best wait until after the draw has been made.

I think we could do without the distraction of a cup run especially as the injuries are already racking up. It would be good to come up against a top team and go out early, although I am not sure when the big boys come into the draw - 3rd round ?
I will be happy if we can get a couple of easy fixtures before then,
I am happy with number 4 also, its got good vibes .
