Until clubs and national football associations whose fans continually pull this sheeite really address the issue and tackle their fans head on, it'll continue to get worse.

Like I say, just ban the fvckers from all European and World football. Let them fester in their backwater leagues and go bust.

Ban them.

3 points to the opponents of any match they cant play.

Fines dont hurt fans, losing matches does.

If it stops their fans being racist in the stadium it’s a start. And may at least explain to them in their terms what’s actually racist.

Can’t expect to re-educate an entire society over night.

It’s clearly an issue in a number of east European countries. We’re lucky in this country.

It's got nothing to do with re-educating.

The fans know what they are doing and choose to engage in that behaviour. They know it's wrong and still choose to do it because they're waanks.

As JFK says.. ban them. If they continue time and time again to act and operate outwith acceptibke society and associaton rules, don't let them participate.

They're like children acting out in class. Take them out of the environment and they have nobody to act out to. Then they get bored of that behaviour and crave being involved again. In the process they realise that acting the waank gets you nowhere. We've gone soft as a society on this behaviour.

Sorry that’s simply a stupid take. Ignorance breeds ignorance.

It’s got everything to do with re-educating.

It’s clearly a societal issue in a number of Eastern European countries. If you think it’s only football fans that are racist in these countries, and that racism isn’t prevalent outside the football stadium then you are deluded.

They're all educated enough to know exactly what they are doing.. they aren't ignorant at all.

They all know what they are doing is wrong and do it to get a kick out of angering everyone else.

Placating them and continually allowing them to get off with this behaviour and these actions is clearly having a great effect 🤦‍♂️

It just encourages more of them to participate as there is no repercussions.

Like Appeasement in the 1930s.. "och they'll come around if we teach them that hating people and wanting to eradicate them based on some perceived characteristic is not clever.. they'll obviously listen to us"

Or you could just take action that has actual consequences to their behaviour.

"We know what you're doing is wrong, now promise not to do it again"

Then it escalates.

Almost like nobody wants to learn from history.

What I find most astonishing about this is that Celtic are actually letting away fans in.

I'll be amazed if there isn't some trouble/violence on Tuesday evening given its 297 of their most ardent ultras that appearing to be making the journey across.

Mental decision to allow them over.

Simply ridiculous to say education isn’t the answer. This is clearly not a football issue in Hungary but a society one.

We saw 10,000 Czech school kids boo Kamara for being racially abused, as if they all know what they are doing and choosing to act Add yourself to the ignorant list if you don’t think education is the answer.

Of course if fans are racist ban them, but it’s not going to do anything to eradicate racism in these countries. So it won’t do anything to actually address the issue - racism. Will just mean moral champion fans can pretend their are no societal issue in these countries and that racism doesn’t exist.

posted on 13/10/21

The Czech kids is different.. they just did as their parents told them to do.

We're talking about adults who know right from wrong and choose to do wrong as there is no repercussions.

I say that on societal terms, not just football. Hungarian (spoon to be) dictator is a mad fascist so it allows fascism to proliferate.

Many other right wing parties across Europe and our very own Governement, with the aid of media have made it fascist ideals acceptable again.. just look at our Home Sec and the positive appraisals the papers give her.

The people CHOOSING to engage in this behaviour know it's wrong but don't care as they know they can get away with it now. They know that opposition to it has gone soft. Larger society is enabling these waanks, including the football authorities who can actually choose to do something about it if they had a spine.

It's spreading because of the lack of action. Banning football fans is a start and a signal that there will be consequences for these actions. Somebody has to make a stance otherwise it will continue to go one way only.

This is quite frankly a stupid take.

When children grow up being told racism is ok, it’s because the adults grew up thinking that and still do. When the adults think that it’s a societal issue. Because they weren’t educated.

Banning some football fans doesn’t do sh*t to fix the issue.

Saying it is spreading is an absolute nonsense - it’s a societal issue in these countries, it’s nothing new in these countries. Absolutely ridiculous line of thought. What’s new is the spotlight being pointed at the fans, rightly folk are taking notice of the racist behaviour. And players are being confidence to speak up.

You're honestly trying to suggest that adults with access to the internet think that racism is ok

They know it isn't. They just choose to spout that as they want someone to blame for their inadequacies. Now that this has become acceptable (as it increasingly is with the rise of the far right again) more and more people choose to deflect blame from themselves and project it onto others through either skin colour, religious differences, sexual differences etc.

It's this precise "they don't know what they're saying it doing" attitude that has enabled it to spread, and it is spreading.

Wasn't even a decade ago that this behaviour barely existed in football, and was even rarer in public away from football.

Trump was a massive enabler.. Charlottesville was a huge turning point. When he didn't denounce multiple racially motivated murders with the car, suddenly the world took note (specifically the far right) and realised they're ignorant beliefs could be platformed without major challenge.

If you honestly think it isn't a problem that has become worse in the past decade you are either blind or completely ignorant to what direction society has been moving in.

Britain today is unrecognisable from the Britain of 2010.

Eastern European teams used to have occasional incidents with their fans acting racist etc. It's now a case that it's every single game some of them participate in.

But aye, it isn't getting worse or cropping up with more regularity in other countries

All I really Want is for You to learn.

People with access to the internet think the Earth is flat mate. Should also realise people with access to the internet in Hungary, will read Hungarian press, go on Hungarian websites, Hungarian social media etc. To say Trump is an enabler for racism in Eastern Europe what the fack are you on 😂🤣🤣

posted on 14/10/21

Jesus.. if you can't see the causal links between Trump okaying right win rhetoric and it spreading globally, that's on you.

As soon as he went unchallenged, other right wing authorities across the globe stepped up their own rhetoric and policies. They knew that they would no longer be challenged by America and its close allies.

You're the clown who thinks right wing behaviours and activities haven't become worse in the past decade and yet you think you can lecture to others

See since you have access to the internet you should try educating yourself. Only an idiot would think that that racism isn’t a societal issue in Hungary, and that education isn’t the answer.

And as for it getting worse in Eastern Europe? Simple use of the internet proves that to be a load of stupid nonsense like everything else you’re spouting. It’s being put under the spotlight and immigration in these countries has simply brought the racism that is prevalent in these societies to the surface.

The first black MP in Hungary was appointed a couple years ago, so as a comparison that’s 30 years after UK.
Maybe a good starting position for you in comparing our two societies. Then you can read about how he was physically in danger in the 90s, when it was much worse than it is now.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-44414668.amp

But you make your own assumptions on Hungarian society based on the actions of football actions and stupid casual links to Trump causing Eastern European racism… Maybe you can even start educating yourself by a look at Wikipedia which references 2013 studies.

One of the top google results, and most helpful for you might be the below which actually focuses on the causes of societal issues in Hungary.

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/13507480303671

Honestly the stupidest line of thought I’ve heard in a while.

posted on 14/10/21

The right wing government has increase its share of seats since 2010 but aye, Hungary isn't vlbecoming more right wing

Using one black MP's experience to try and counter that argument is beyond idiotic

posted on 14/10/21

Not to mention with each election their policies have leant further and further to the right/fascism and the second largest party in the country has traditionally been a far right party.

posted on 14/10/21

You’ve completed missed my point. The right wing growth you mentioned will be linked to immigration that’s been seen. The policies largely work because of racism in society. But you’re clearly an idiotic moron if you don’t think racism is a society issue in Eastern Europe, and to say it’s getting worse shows complete ignorance.

Try educating yourself with google, some more top hits from 2013, 2004. Some light reading for you, like I said - educating the ignorant idiots is the answer
