I like Craig as Bond but I grew up with Roger Moore, who for me was and always will be the best.
Casino Royale was a brilliant Bond film, Spectre was good, Skyfall ok and QOS, mmm average but he does have a charm and ruggedness.

Casino Royale is very good to be fair. Love Le Chiffre. I really, really don't like Skyfall. In fact, I think it's one of the most overrated movies of the last ten years. Everyone raves about it but I think the final act is just stupid.

Yeah Skyfall is very overrated. The last act was Home Alone come the A-Team!

He’s the best Bond for me. I also loved NTTD.

The last act is almost an insult to the audience.

So Bond and M drive from London to Scotland, all the while with Silva tracking their car.

For some reason Silva, despite having about 8 hours to attack the car, lets them drive all that way to a house in which they then seem to have another 8 hours preparing for the final battle.

What?? Why didn't Silva just blow them up when they were driving on an isolated, Scottish country road??

Rubbish.

Fair enough.

Why do you think he's the best Bond, may I ask ?

Personally I thought NTTD was a load of cack.

You could tell it was written by a woman and directed by a fairy. Some of the comments leading up to production, such as Bond being a rapist in the past (directors comment) told you where this was going.

Blatant attempts to deconstruct Bond as the classic archetype of masculinity and insert wokeism and feminism into the franchise. Did we need to know Q was gay? No, but they told us anyway. Of course the new 007 had to be a woman. And then there’s Bonds missus in the car chase scene, acting as the protector with the gun while Bond takes on the matriarch role of holding the child.

And then there’s Bond himself. Traditionally a cool, smooth, ice cold killer full of quips and bedding beautiful women in glamorous locations around the world why defeating the bad guys. That’s why people watch, it’s escapism. But no, we got served a sensitive, middle aged, bumbling Bond, unsure of himself, with a family (ridiculous - Bond never has a family, it’s why he can act the way he does) and getting in touch with his feelings etc. It’s a nonsense and absolutely not a James Bond movie. As for what happens to him a the end? Absurd, that should never ever happen in a Bond movie.

Then there’s the villain, who we didn’t even see for an hour an a half. It’s like the writers spent all their time thinking ‘oh how can we woke up this movie for the #metoo generation and then thought ‘oh no we’d better put a villain in as well’. A total after thought, a flimsy villain with a pointless plan that a sixth former could’ve written and which the audience had no investment in.

Then there’s Bonds Missus in the film - the most boring, dreary, monotone woman imaginable.

Honestly it was an absolute load of crap. Compare it to Casino Royale that had all the classic Bond traits and genuine jeopardy with good/evil rather than the focus being on Bond mulling over primary school applications and looking for sofas in DFS.

A well made film in terms of the stunts, location shooting and stuff but an atrocious storyline and a load of pansies taking diabolical liberties with the franchise if you ask me.

Wow you've actually spoken some sense for once. I am shocked. I could sense a bit of woke writing when watching.

What was the villains plan to unleash the nanobots on the world? It doesn't even say. Was he going to do it via water supply or something??

Either way it lacked a great villian for me. Malek was first gear, boring rubbish and no offence but he doesn't even look like he'd handle himself in a fight either.

Oh and by the way Ace you just know that the new 007 actress is getting her own movie series spinoffs too. As 007.

Rubbish.

I saw NTTD last week in IMAX so as a cinematic experience it was quite and epic. However its far too long and too much unnecessary plot in the middle section where they are desperately trying to tie up all the loose end still hanging from the Daniel Craig franchise set of films, so the next lot can start with a blank canvas.

Bond throughout the film is as unbelievably immortal as ever (no spoilers) with scores of stooges constantly strafing him with machine gun fire to a comedic level of no avail of which Bond picks them ALL off with single shots from his trusty 9mm hand gun. Quite ridiculous.

One thing I didnt notice at the end of the film was the message at the end of the credits that you normally see is that 'Bond will return'. Which again would have been ridiculous after this film's epic, get out of that, ending.

Bet he does return, though.

If the next Bond were an older person I’d deffo go Idris Elba.

For a younger one to ‘reset’ the franchise I’d go with Dan Stevens (love the Guest) or John Boyega

James McAvoy maybe.

You see Culer.... yet again you fall into the standard trap (as many do) of thinking quantum of solace is rubbish... There are some excellent teams in this film

The new double 007 will not be a woman.... She'll have got pregnant and left MI6 by the time the next film comes out

"Malek as the villain isn't intimidating at all and just comes across as a monotone weirdo and at times I was left wondering just what the threat level from him and his organisation really was."

Agreed, and what exactly was his motive?

Rubbish plot, enjoyable enough to watch though.

I haven't seen the new film yet and, based on what others have told me, I'd probably be best off either not watching it or waiting until it screens on Sky TV or whatever else.

I think Daniel Craig has been a good bond. I've seen most films and he's always been good in them for me personally. Might not have been the best, but certainly not underwhelming.

Timothy Dalton was the best bond.
